i think OFGEM and the rest of um are barking up the wrong tree.

your average small house or flat spends £795 per year on gas & elec

that same household spends £3200 per year on essential food.

you don`t need to go to Oxford uni to work out where the biggest saving could be made

supermarkets are the biggest con artists of them all.

The problems we have as I see it, in order, are thus:1. The threat from Labour.Although personally I would be very surprised if the country voted in a Socialist government, it is becoming clear Labour see renationalising utilities as a core selling point of their manifesto. We all know that compensating us will not be their priority. Given their distaste of capitalism, it could be that shareholders are deliberately left with nothing. Although an election is four years distant, it is hard to see Labour collapsing in the opinion polls before then. It is entirely possible they benefit from mid term frustration and lead the polls. Either way the threat of our shares becoming worthless is tangible and more importantly, a deterrent to a reversal in the price. 2. Changing public opinion. There continues to be media articles promoting the benefits of nationalising utilities and more worryingly, polls showing a shift in public opinion in favour of it. If this grows then there is a real possibility that all political parties will be swayed. Again, what can happen to cause this groundswell of opinion to reverse?3. Price capsPutting a lid on potential profit does not highlight any company as a good investment case.4. Declining customers.

At last a money tree.
Government debt, (bonds) are a free lunch according to McDonnell.

Scary how economically illiterate our potential leaders are.

McDonnell doing his bit to help the share price

"John McDonnell: Labour public ownership plan will cost nothing. Taking services into public ownership could be achieved at no cost to the taxpayer by swapping government bonds for company shares."

Yes supermarky - all us investors must feel gloomy with it. 4/ ago -4.1p, 3/ -4.4p. 2/ -6.05 and this week -3.8p when will this end.The AGM will not come to soon for us. Personally if its not great I will just log off ( no stress and can forget about it )and see where I am in 6 months time. I am now -60k adrift if I was silly enough to sell. Every cloud has a silver lining, I sold BT. Just over 4 months ago and made 400, if I had kept them I would be now down over 10k at todays SP,so something goes right for me. Try to forget about them and have a great weekend whatever your doing.
