I think he's got to do something drastic i.e redundancy's or as Portside has suggested a possible share buy back . He knows the pressure is on and on that basis I think he will come up with a plan. I also notice that the share price hasn't really moved at all since December 13th when it last took a tumble. That was also the day that Conn bought a token 100/- shares. I'm not near my computer at the moment but I would guess during that period maybe 200m to 250m shares have traded. As I've said before I don't think there has been much in it for the day traders so I'd like to think that people or institutions are seeing some value at these levels but who knows.If the sentiment changes for the better then people might start to realise these look cheap but as for now the picture in people's minds is still rather grey.P.s I hope for Conn's sake they don't do a finger food at the meeting. He might get bombarded with sausage rolls!!!

Yes Nortic, I think he knows it, he has brought a lot of the problems onto himself. If he explained himself and gave the shareholders confidence he knows what he's doing the share price would not be as low as it is now. I still think unless it's really good news at the AGM ( with the oil price going up ) he will have to go

This company as lost about 28% of its value in the last 3 months. I think shareholders at the AGM will be after his head

Bad day again !! One decent day then a bad day, when are we going to have 3 or 4 good days in a row. Yes portside Mr Conn is far to quite. I still think this is the quietest management in a company in 30 years of trading. And unless he comes up with some positive results it's time to get rid of him and get somebody who knows what he's doing. Your clock is ticking Mr Conn, we will have our say !!

these directors of bg are paid millions and they have been silent for now on 3 years

we will attack conn at the agm and he will have to resign unless this starts to rise big time
I still believe they should cancel div and use all the cash to buy back 1.5 b shares and cancel them

he will walk off the platform when we start all our question are ready for him

Oil is $67 now actually and yes Centrica has significant O&G assets. Profits from this division should be significantly (up to $500M) higher than last year.

Any utility/yielder has done well to show any rise on a day that 30-year gilt yields rose 4.8%.

Strange this Utility situation, CNA well up today yet SSE well down again but no news really affecting either. Just crazy.

Much more evidence is needed to convince the tide has changed. One good day means diddly squat. It is however well received. Happy new year all centrica holders!

At the risk of jumping to conclusions, it begins to look as if the tide has turned on the CNA share price. Wall Street is doing well and that is a very good sign.

Totally agree some shares are currently supported by little more than thin air at least cna has low expectations and a high yield to boot.


Chart wise 136 area looks pretty strong support and has held since the initial drop which is a positive sign and could be a base for a long time to come particularly if aided by good or even neutral news imo.

Good luck all lets hope 2018 is a better year.
