Weird... now I've posted that and looked again, the six-month graph has been updated so that the latest price is 246p.

ADVFN are messing around with their share-price graphs again.

At the top of the page, the day's graph shows the share price (the little red dot) at about 246p. The two-year graph shows the same thing. However, the six-month graph shows the price as 236p, probably today's opening price.

A close above 243.5p puts CAML over 20% up from the H2/2018 lows and technically back in a bull market.

Coincidentally, Zinc yesterday moved over 20% up from the H2/2018 lows.

pol123 (2622) "However CAML does move strangley sometimes."

It moved particularly strangley at start of trading this morning, down 5% and then back up again, not that that was designed to trigger any stop losses. Anyone who was inconvenienced by this might want to strangley the MMs.

Zinc hit a 7 month high today, lead a 6 month high and Copper a two month high.

Zinc is up 19.7% from the October low - from a technical perspective, further progress tomorrow would see it enter a new bull market.

Agree with scottishfield. Buying now or trying to time it and get in lower (hardly ever works for me!) shouldn't matter much in the long term. This is a relatively stable company with good management who are intent in looking after their shareholders and maintaining the generous dividend. They are openly looking for the next "deal" and they will make sure it is a good one per past history. So around these levels it is still a buy and hold with a good income and potential decent capital appreciation too as the commodity cycle comes back into favour.

Number of catalysts over the next 3 months
- Trade war cessation
- Imminent China infrastructure stimulus
- Growth of EVs
- April results

To name but a few. Copper on the move now, so may start to tick up. However CAML does move strangley sometimes.

I suppose it depends on a lot really. For me (holder) anywhere around this area is good for growth to come imo. Even if it doesn't move a lot (& it's not the quickest mover by any means) the dividend is worth having. I'm in for both, and adding when appropriate. Often good to buy a few (it keeps you interested) & then add when you feel it's a good time etc. Best of luck etc.

This is a stock I want to be in for the long haul but really not sure whether to enter now or wait to see if it falls back to somewhere between 215-220p over the coming days or weeks.Any more experienced holders or traders of this share have an impartial view?

I'm on hot copper, but find the site so much more difficult to use.
This site is sooooo much easier, if you put up with filtered donkeys, trolls & so on!

Interesting comments on hot copper today highlighting the Sasa chief geologist recently moved to Adriatic , shares of adriatic up sharply today , I think a buyout would make a great bolt on for caml as the next mine to develop

Bullish lead article on the MoneyWeek website on zinc being ripe for a spike. Disappointing that CAML didn’t get a mention. But, very exciting times to be a CAML holder!

Do you have another direct link carcosa? That takes me to the life of a playboy Saudi prince. The last video I could find on youtube re: Nigel Robinson is this one from November 2018 -

I also checked the CAML website and was happy I did because there is another video (Blytheweigh) here from this month that I did not see before:

It's an interesting idea. Perhaps as a partner rather than a buy out.I think, personally, that they'll go for a producing mine. This is the impression I have from previous statements. With current subdued copper prices, I expect an acquisition of a minor copper miner, or perhaps a move to nickel, plat group metals

'During 2018, CAML has screened 22 business development opportunities and conducted three site visits. The Company is currently further reviewing two potential base metals opportunities.'

Considering present market valuations of producing copper assets compared to metal pricing, post the SASA acquisition, I highly doubt CAML will move so soon for another production acquisition of anywhere near a similar scale.

However, a farm-in partnership to a low cost to develop, near term, high grade, heap-leach copper prospect may well prove of interest in the present attractively priced market for such assets, particularly those offering a quick payback.

CAML have a proven track record of developing new copper heap-leach production facilities in remote locations on time and below budget - they would make an excellent partner for Asia Met's near term low cost to develop and operate, high grade BKM copper project.
