Only A.M. can put a dollar value to HIM saying, "Price of silver and gold is infinity". Obviously, in the context in which it was said, no one should believe he meant it literally. It is merely an expression, like one saying "the price will go ballistic".

My price of $3000 is not a do or die promise. Depending on the prevailing economic evidence and what the pundits are saying at that time, I might well decide to sit tight looking for a notably higher price. Each to their own.

Amaretto1, I think he means/hoping >10%. Martin, agree on the nervousness pre-results, it was very quiet on this subject on the board yesterday, my guess was all holding too and hoping- those awful days of having to be at the keyboard watching the next day were awful, especially the wait between 07:00-08:00. I remember saying management changes are key, and was chuffed when they sorted this- great record so far, long may it continue. Fingers crossed here for opening.

Agree sotolo, in these times with everything pretty much centamins way, with so few good divi stocks this has to re rate to the 220s over next few weeks

50% dividend rise, 6.25% yield even at this price, and an amazing $368 per share back to us after 52.5% of profit to emra. This share deserves a rerating and should be 230p at this gold price imho

Looks damn good to me and the divi- build up to divi short being ex on 13th Aug- gold holding well and ftse futures flat following yesterday’s big rise- all bodes very well at opening - fingers crossed...

If gold prices go to infinity I won’t need a tonne. My watch is only a normal size but it has enough gold in it to feed the world and take everyone out of poverty if your mates prediction of gold prices going to infinity where accurate or even possible.

If I take your $3000 Oz as an indication of where you would sell ( in very rough numbers ) that would suggest a share price £3. Anyone who actually believed the forecast you are punting must be mentally ill to consider selling at £3 when the pog is going to infinity within 18 months.

If you have listened to Alasdair Macleod talking on you Tube of the likelihood of Comex defaulting this year, you will know as much as I do. I do not know where Alasdair Macleod's statement(NOT MINE), "price of silver and gold is infinity" predicated on Comex defaulting this year; will take us and A.M. himself has not given a figure. His forecast is not just about Comex itself, but also the wide spread financial consequences of it defaulting. If you have not listened to his statement, then you will never know its full potential implications.

However, given that a number of gold pundits and institutions based on their own independent forecast of a significant fall in the value of the dollar vis a vis the F.R. printing trillions of dollars, have forecast the p.o.g to reach anything between $2400 to $10,000; take you pick.
Assuming you watch is 24 carat gold and weighs a ton, I suspect a super yacht and a spacious apartment in Monaco, will be well within your reach.
Being a man of modest means, I will find it hard to resist selling when faced with the BoA forecast of $3000oz being reached.
