I think sometimes people lose sight of the fact this is a free cash dividend policy Boris and with POG at these levels the dividend is assured . The resources are there , the cash is there , new production on the horizon . It’s quite simple really .

I don’t agree on manipulation but disappointing on continual drop like all goldies pretty much over the past week or so- i will hold as don’t need to sell, good rns news will cause a big rebound but of course the reverse is also true- so fingers crossed as always

Hi Prat - I love you and your stupidity. You've created a lovely easy trading range. It's a great share to get in, get out and take lovely divs in the mean time. A now have a 6 figure free carry on profits and divs alone! Happy days

alangrifbang,

"I got dragged in with everybody seeming so positive and continually talking it up".

Maybe a lesson learned and - next time - you'll do your own research.

Probably not Plat ... but even $15 / $20 below is still significant don’t you think ? JLP going well today . Very steep closing rise .

[edit] apparently they do get very near to spot ....

“Gross revenue1 for the six months ended 30 June 2019 ("H1") was US$292.4 million from gold sales of 224,129 ounces at an average realised gold price of US$1,305 per ounce;”

They are completely unhedged ..... no debt .... stonking resources .... over $300m in the Tommy tank ..... just got to dig it up !!

By now I expect the production is built into the price stevedaytrader but POG at say $1480 average on 99,000 ounces adds £18mn bottom line less the profit share . They are also supposed to be cost cutting . So the only thing which seems to move it at the moment is fluctuation of POG . We really do need to hear we are ( as indicated by Pardey ) now into higher grades and the annual guidance will be maintained . If it is then fine and dandy with POG holding throughout this month and futures still above $1500 through next year.
Got a nice balance in my portfolio with Lloyds , IAG , M&S , BT and a bad choice of holding in CENTRICA but at least that is also rising on Brexit news . If Boris ( or should we say both sides negotiators ) balls it up then it will be back to square one and POG up again . Crazy times .

So far, so good, despite trade deals- most commentary saying not as good as TRUMP is saying- fingers crossed as always. As some have said on this forum, overall still good for gold with economies, global issues- any hiccups on China/USA trade which is now likely, and back we come.

Yep, the trade deal that's not a trade deal and QE on the side. Markets been hoodwinked by trumps tweets n Powell's lies, be interesting to see what happens. Pretty sure the rally is over, gold should hold $1500
