Mattboxy they weren't answers to anything to do with CEY but posts by a troll attacking me with an old false story. Nothing to do with CEY at all.

As the companies US dollars it would have benefited from the initial devaluation, now the affect of fuel price in the local currency would be neutral.

Div policy:
Was 15 to 30% of free cash flow.
This was changed to 30%+ of FCF just before the final dividend.
The actual final dividend was 70% of FCF.

I would expect the dividend to be maintained at around that level unless opportunities to invest in other prospects arise / cash is needed for existing prospects such as nearby workings once the CC is over or if needed in Burkina Faso etc.

The most significant factor to affect FCF is the POG. Not so much profit share which has been in place for some time. I believe it started at 40% and is due to rise to 50%. I suspect we are now at 45% but I don't have the p/s figures to hand, perhaps someone else can supply them?

Looking on another web site at historic data, there were 2 dividend payments in the last year 2c & 13.5c total 15.5c

Note this is c which is less than p.

Last years dividend payment was not typical it was significantly greater than previous years e.g. the year before was 0.97c & 1.97c = 2.94c.

From memory, apologies if not quite right, I am sure someone has the actual details,
CEY stated in future they will distribute a % of free cash flow, which on face value should lead to more high divi payout years, but against this they now have the profit sharing arrangements with the government kicking in. So I haven't yet worked out what the overall effect may be for future divi's

If divi is maintained. If so then share price should at least double
