Just noticed another new idea/revenue stream from CAH.

0928slm : Thanks but I had already discounted the L2 Plus MMs. Wins is the only one as far as I know who have a Plus market in CLTV. If you include this then the MMs have gone from 4 to 5.
Oh well it didn't make any difference to the price!

Simon : I think its due to ADVFN L2 is now showing LSE & PLUS markets hence most of the stocks got more MM's.

Is it me not paying enough attention or do we have another MM. I thought we had 3 but appears we now 4, not allowing for Wins on Plus.

bbw,

No chance of any regulatory changes under the current government, imo.

The last three ofcom reviews have been hugely expensive and time consuming - the MPs will not want to waste more money on something that has already been investigated ad nauseum. The research into the sector by ofcom was pretty definitive in its conclusion - that the shows basically do no harm as long as they are shown after the watershed (this will be midnight on freeview) or any time on a system that can have adult control (satellite).

More to the point, though, female MPs love free porn on the TV - it saves their husbands having to pay for it! Maybe the MPs will ask for the shows to become more saucy, so their husbands will be happier in their hotel rooms?

have you considered whether the above means that certain decisions may be made by parliament.... pushed by female MP's?

believe me when I say if such a movement started, the male MP's wouldn't object... they would be scared to do so!

with the family tabloids jumping on the bandwagon, you can be sure it would be game set and match.

just something to think about....

All quiet on here. I see we had a bit of a mark down on that 50k sell today, but good to see it followed by the 250k buy if its any consolation.

These sells could be the few of 50k lots bought by some few days before the results came out......imho.

Aye it is looking a little unloved with those chunky sells that went through today, but it looked like to buy sub 4p today was to tempting for some to resist. I guess somebody was not to impressed with the results and can't wait no longer to see the fruits of the past years investments in the UK and CAH.

pink/e, I see you have a very firm belief in the stronger success of the UK side of things than perhaps the Indian side, which then begs the question will we see a part or whole sale of CAH in the near future, as mentioned in finals 09?
As the value of our CAH share must well exceed our mkt cap, a sniff of a interested buyer could well put some fire under the share price But there again when by this year end the UK side posts a profit why would we need the cash from CAH sale ? CAH looks like it could be a run away success, thats barring cricket does'nt get even more popular across there.

I would take a one year minimum outlook on any investment here and would be looking for an absolute minimum of 12p per share

Firstly and most importantly, we have the UK business. These results do not yet reflect the full cost-cuttings implemented due to the efficiencies of taking the whole system into 'the cloud'. Neither do they take into account the increase in conversions and retention of the web business.

I expect that this time next year we will be reporting around £750k cash generation for H1, with £1m for H2 after that. The new technologies are that good, along with the new relaxed regulation that this should be easily achievable.

Also, take into account that the company no longer have massive costs associated with the ofcom issues, which include (a lot) of lawyers and a lot of lobbying. Almost £500k pa, by my reckoning

We will also see a new focus on creating value for shareholders over the next year. About time too, you say!

Then we have CAH. There was a lot of investment in the first half, whilst the second half this year will easily beat the second half of last year. when the results are released I expect no less than £1m to be attributable to our company and for the carrying value to take another big leap up

Overall, let's value UK at £9m and our share of CAH at £3m, with a long-term ambition to take those up to £15m and £9m respectively over the next 18 months. That means value of 15p when finals are released, moving towards 32p by this time next year

Overall, the results look good and we seem to have made excellent progress with the UK business

The most important point is that they are generating cash and paying off debt. Previously, the 'profit' has not been at the level of cash generation, so the fact they now refer to "strong cash flow" is very good news as is the expectation of paying off the Headstart loan by the end of the year

The 1st half at CAH went from a loss of £40k last year to a profit of £205k this year, so progress is good, if not as high as some of us had hoped for (obviously why there are some sells today).

A big hint that progress is continuing at CAH, though, is demonstrated in its carrying value. It was £211k in June 2009, rising to £692k in December and has risen again, to £835k in June 2010

That said, it does look like the cricket has a massive impact and this makes the results highly seasonal. A mention of turnover would have been useful, as would a bit more details about current trading

The ofcom news is also very good and takes away considerable risk

The fact they can broadcast on freeview going forward is a relief and the watershed of midnight means they can bring the programs that are currently starting at 1am, 3am and 4.30am forward to midnight, if they wish. So, they will get extra broadcast time, rather than less, should they feel that is appropriate.

As far as I'm aware, the watershed does not apply to Sky, because the viewers have control over the content and can block adult channels (discussed in part 3 of the ofcom consultation).

Psychic tv has already started to appear on new channels and at different times of the day. This extra exposure should be adding to the bottom line right from day 1

excuse me but that ofcom link states there will be a midnight watershed for the adult channels

that's awful for cellcast... don't delude yourself it's not and will have a material impact on revenues

Well on the surface all going in the right direction, lots of positives.

Company was profitable and cash generative during the second quarter

Reduction of net debt and dispensing of £450,000 debt factoring facility

Continuing year-on-year revenue growth and operational profitability are forecast, based on tightly controlled operating costs, strong Q2 performance and increased distribution capacity

And the Ofcom.

And CAH. Just wish that Indian cricket league thing could be abolished.

All bodes well for the final results.

Yep CR, that's right:

"With the full implementation of additional distribution capacity, the Company anticipates continued year-on-year growth in revenue and a continuation of operating profitability in the UK. July and August continued the positive trend of the preceding three months, generating a positive return and cash flows. CAH also continued to trade profitably in July and August.

The Directors view the future with confidence."
