Any views?

Well i'd say this is the biggest items of news to come out of CAH, with the scope to take the company to the next level.

So we know now the reason for the recruitment drive.

From the article.

We have over 75 people involved in production process

Cellcast will reach 70% of the cable market and 100% of DTH market. On the production side, Cellcast already has four studio floors and hence we do not see major investment on infrastructure side.

Question 12; Any big names from the domain of media associated with you in this initiative?
Answer; This is confidential till we sign on dotted line.

The idea is to build in virality in everything we do!

BBW, "I may not agree with what you say but I will defend your right to say it?"

Its the same with the internet, as i may not agree what you look at but i will defend your right to view it.

As wikileaks as shown, the internet is damn hard to control even with the resorces of the CIA.

And the line between TV and internet is getting so blurred that it will merge into one entity eventually so control is a nightmare of one and not the other.
The internet is proving that it more powerfull than goverments, and people will defend this right to the hilt.

So where were we ?

A trading update would be a good start.

who do you think will stand up and shout " hey I watch that stuff and it's great "

well?

aside from the usual pressure groups the Government will get away with it because no one will ever admit to the casual viewing of smut, even though the majority at some stage do precisely that!

like i stated, it's not an outright ban. it will go through because the customer will be allowed to contact the ISP to request an unblocking.

so that's the intention of Government right now... therefore, Cellcast as a nice, medium term play is not something I can entertain, but I guess if you already hold hundreds of thousands or even millions then it's fingers and toes crossed.... touch wood and all that

do you really think that an unfiltered internet will be allowed to continue? t won't. 20 years from now we will all look back on 2000/2010/12/15? as the glory years when we never had it so good.

BBW, You always seem to be a glass half empty. I just dont see how people would stand for a nanny state blocking porn, China maybe.
For the TV/internet side, any regulation changes would need to be thrashed out over a long time frame which could be turn out to be either good or bad for Cellcast but who knows.
I think most on here want to see Cellcast uk running at a profit and keeping its nose clean, which i hope it is by now. And with the big money maker being the Indian side, a trading update in the New year would'nt go amiss to see where we are at.

Hi

Reference the news last week regarding the governments intention to ban all porn on internet at source (meeting with ISP's very soon) with punters having to ask permission from ISP to unblock.

Obviously this will hit the internet side of Cellcast but I continue to wonder if the Government will use the new Communications bill (next couple of years) to ban the fun on TV completely.

Don't think that the OFCOM consultation doc will make a difference. Taking a tough stance on internet porn yet allowing unencrypted fun on TV is inconsistent.

Any thoughts?

This is just a snippet from the website, recruitment.

Strategize to ensure optimum monetization of services
Constantly look out for new alliances
Negotiate & close business deals
Track competition and suggest strategies to stay one step ahead of the market

Well by looking at this and the other job discriptions, hopefully there seems to be some pretty exciting growth happening.

Just noted Cellcast India have updated their recruitment page on the website, i think things must be really moving along with this amount of demand for skilled staff.

Also that Cellcast India has started broadcasting a Tamil physic show(Jodhida Palan ) on Raj tv.

Also came across this article as well, not a recent one, but you get the idea of our Indian punter.

So Mr Cropper has increased his holding by over 500,000 shares to nearly 5 million. A positive sign one would hope.
I thought I was doing well having over a million :)

Lyonst5 perhaps with Niel out of the way we can see some northward progress as we head into the New Year. An update would alos be good.

So i see Niel Craven has taken his holding under 3% or sold out completely, so no wonder the share price has been under pressure of late.
Maybe his losses in his other investments had made him sell down here as others have mentioned before.

Would be a nice little christmas present to see a bit of an update on progress at CAH, that's for sure!

What do you use 800 new staff for, by the way? Construction workers for building a new office?
