This news literally changes everything. The reserves update will put some serious commercials on the whole project.

3,500bopd of high quality oil under natural pressure from the well indicates the huge potential of the deep horizons at BNG.

- i have a feeling the other 2 deep wells will be flowing in the next few months

Hope we all waited patiently...

On 21 October 2017 the well was opened for clean-up purposes. The initial flow rates were approximately 3,500 bopd using a 11 mm choke.

So I don't hold UKOG but was looking at the chart which fills me with anxiety for all CASP holders. The last thing we need is good news, share price rallies, some of us hang on for the long term only to wish we had got out in to any early spike as we watch the price collapse back to where we started. I think the next big challenge comes to try to work out the exit strategy. Let's hope we get good news on a deep then good news on a shallow and that may allow the shares to find a base much higher up.

ah yes toggle, the long game!
unless they muck up a5 i sense casp are on the cusp.
if a5 fails they'll have to make a6 work.
the oil is present, extraction expertise is needed.

i know its too soon, but the mind boggles at what they have found in bng, with 3 out of 3 deep hits. its going to take a while to get at the value, even if further operational problems are avoided, but once it starts who knows how much more they will find. if, and its a big if, its a monster then being here will be a once in a lifetime opportunity. too much to hope for? maybe but it does happen.

Addendum
Just for the record in 2007 Accounts Kuat Oraziman, was interested in 63,864,975 ordinary shares and only one other director (Duncan McDougall, 153,847 ) held shares at that time. Baverstock GmbH with 145,000,000 or 45.29% was the Major Shareholder. The IPO price was 38p.

Toggle,New share options will be created but hopefully at sensible targets. There were loads of options exercised post the A5 initial discovery, not sure how many are left to be exercised this time, not checked.I'm feeling lucky punk ?

One man has worked his way up the company since he started as Non-Executive Director That is Kuat Rafikuly Oraziman (aged 45) in 2007. His CV read

Mr. Oraziman has nearly 20 years of business experience in Kazakhstan and abroad
and nearly 10 years of oil and gas experience in Kazakhstan. Mr. Oraziman's
experience has included the operation of import and export businesses, the
establishment and operation of an international brewery in Kazakhstan, and as
the Kazakhstan representative of Phillips and Stork.

Since 1991 Kuat Oraziman has been a director of ADA OIL LLP a joint venture oil
and gas partnership with LG International which owns and operates exploration
and production oil and gas assets located in Kazakhstan. Kuat Oraziman also
holds a doctorate in science and is a trained geologist.

Since day one he has been involved in direct and indirect loans, related party transactions with at various times in Baverstock GmbH(42.5 percent), Vertom International (50 percent or more) etc. Since becoming CEO he hasn’t looked to private shareholders to raise any funds but has relied on Almaty mates and avoided bank debt.

Currently he holds 763,706,614 or 45.74% of the shares or 70 million UK pounds compared to private shareholders who together own roughly £22 million. There are many strengths and weaknesses in this arrangement. He has found and personally put up funds to run this company which is about to make its maiden profit . To wash his face on the capital injection alone I guess he would need to see shares at 22.5p just to get a very basic return on his capital . Every fraction a penny of change in share price is of significant value, but probably of little interest to him currently. I would suggest his vision is focused into the future.

NB Incidentally I would note that KO’s highly paid Chief Clerk has had a bunch (1,603,077) of share options lapse recently. They were at 68p. The next opportunity will be in August 2018 at 12p but they are only a mere half million plus
