07/11/2003 08:39 | Hmmm. I bought 20K a couple of months ago in a very rare moment of liquidity. It will be interesting to see the trade sizes later. Irresponsible , what other stocks are you looking at just now? (we seem to meet on so many threads) | hugepants
07/11/2003 08:37 | Signs of live here. Is it time to buy and see how much stock the MM has? | irresponsible
04/11/2003 21:05 | All very quiet at the moment on this one...expect some interest as December approaches imo. May be the last time to get in at this price before next year, but then again? | simonevans
04/11/2003 19:02 | Could be a buyer for 5000 @49p so bidding up to get a few. With it so close to Christmas I can't see much selling. But MM'S are only in it for easy money so it may mean 45p in the morning. | gamblinman
04/11/2003 10:43 | I wonder if this just a mark-up because the markets seem to be recovering or if there is a massive buy going through (about 1000 shares - rofl). | hugepants
30/10/2003 15:36 | 2 buys of 2500 means we have a small buyer not wanting to push the price up and just taking loose stock.Well done.Noticed lots of sweet shops and post office sets in my local shop.Casdon are trying to get into the smaller under a tenner quick selling toys plus the usual role play.Must admit I couldn't have done better and just hope all their efforts pay off.Wouldn't mind knowing the value of their property and land. | gamblinman
26/10/2003 11:25 | All quiet on the Casdon front. Anyone know how things are going? | simonevans
15/10/2003 20:35 | Patience and seeing what Christmas brings are required. We know the balance sheet was strong its down to the company,it's product's and sales team.Mail order express are waiting for the Cadburys hero game to come in.Does anyone know what the other Cadbury product is?We are relying on the these cofectionary items to pull us through. | gamblinman
15/10/2003 14:11 | There hasn't been a trade recently, never mind a rise. This is probably not the most liquid stock on the AIM market. | hugepants
29/9/2003 15:03 | 25000 Buys recently time these started to go up. | gamblinman
22/9/2003 14:44 | Good buy hugepants.I would have thought looking at the warehouse and area owned in a good area near M55 that 30p was too cheap.Looking at the Index cat.last night I counted 17 Casdon items not bad for a firm with under 30 staff. | gamblinman
22/9/2003 13:21 | I managed to buy 2 * 10K at 46p today. I think this is the first time Ive noticed any liquidity in this share. The last annual report showed freehold property worth 30p a share under tangible assets. Is this likely to have increased? freehold property = 30p liquid assets = 28p (including 9.5p cash) NTAV = 65p Underlying eps of 6? (before exceptionals). Actually despite profitable, company was cash flow negative due to purchase of tangible assets. Current price of 45.5p looks bonkers frankly (current trading is 'bouyant') and is IMO due to the illiquidity and the fact management own 70% of the company. | hugepants
21/9/2003 10:13 | Its gone too quiet for me, I sold half my holding (2000) last week and bought into CLS cheerful scout. Results in that one due next week. I plan to make some more on that one and then put the profits back into CDY before the results (need to make plenty though, the spread on this one is crud!) | the flashing blade
17/9/2003 20:05 | Yes, it's a bill dull at the moment as Xmas is too far away. In a months time there may be more interest. But with more interest comes a higher price...I hope!! As always dyor. | simonevans
17/9/2003 08:29 | Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz | mrjasonp
15/9/2003 13:53 | I have mine too Ali, Last Friday. Up a fraction again today, lousy spread still Abbo | abbo64120
10/9/2003 17:10 | I've had mine and the wife's already spent it It was paid on 5th Sept You should really be able to find this out for yourself On the home page select Search (top rightish) When asked tick the box 'search for a stock' and enter Cassidy in the keywords press search now Thsi should take you to it - if it doesn't then fill out the boxes at the top and enter CDY in the EPIC when the box on the right shows it click on the link in that box. That brings up the summary for Cassidy. Click on 'CLick for Fundamentals' which will take you to page which gives masses of information - including half way down or so a complete list of dividends, ex dates, record dates payment dates for the past few years Good luck | a0002577
10/9/2003 16:17 | Does anyone know when the August dividend was/will be paid?? TIA | big ali baba
06/9/2003 16:18 | Good post; yes, revalued properties do need to be revalued every 5 years. I guess that it was a production site in days gone by and they don't need much of the space these days with their 30/40 staff. Don't they also have a small Casdon museum on the site? Re-development could give some more upside. Certainly very little/no downside on property! | simonevans
06/9/2003 14:09 | Just one item I would like others to look at in the A/C'S.The value of the property in 2001 against 2002.My Question is what % increase on book value.I make it under 2.5% at a time of rising property prices. Also the last official valuation was 1998 and now it is 2003.I thought every 5 years they had to have a official property valuation.Could this year throw a surplus.Does anyone live near the site.I went past recently and it covers a big area in a residential come shopping area. Why not look on a web map.The company only borrow at the busiest time of year hence the income from credit balance. | gamblinman
06/9/2003 09:20 | Thanks. I don't think it's really that useful comparing to 1998 as since that time the company have moved production to the far east and this makes them a totally different company. On reading the accounts, Cassidy come over as a very prudent company indeed - they own virtually everything - cars, buildings etc. and appear to have no operating leases. I personally think that this company will eliminate any borrowings over the next 2 years or so; dividends could get to 5p/share in the medium term if things go well. How many companies with a brand this strong have a £2m market cap. - even applying a large discount for the family holding it looks a bit of an anomaly to me? | simonevans
06/9/2003 00:13 | What happened to post 6? Seems to have met a little bit of resistance at 45-50, I think that when we see a breakout of this level it will run to 80p. Heres hoping anyway! Ian | ian parker
05/9/2003 22:03 | simonevans Picked up your thoughts on Cassidy and would like to share some facts picked up at subten.com. While the profits have jumped about over the last five years the current dividend of 3p is at the level of 1998. The directors own 66% of the shares and would appear to value the divdend payout. Net assets are over £3.6m which is approaching 70p a share. Debt is low with an interest charge of only £43000 last year. My view is that with the 3p dividend it is worth holding for Cassidy to get firing on all cylinders | rossco
05/9/2003 21:36 | When you stand back on this one, consider the brand, the profitability, the high dividend, the high asset base and then look at the market value then this company does look very undervalued. I think a fairer price would be 80-100p, but who knows! | simonevans |
