Unusual for a business to have 1.2 bill slipping around in cash accounts.A quick bofp calc shows why CCL does.A massive cash generator. The debt is a short term thing I'm my view, as the release shows.

MIAMI, August 1, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Carnival Corporation & plc (NYSE/LSE: CCL;
NYSE: CUK) today announced that Carnival Corporation (the "Company") will issue
conditional notices of redemption for the entire outstanding principal amount of
the $775 Million 10.500% second-priority senior secured notes due 2026 (the
"2026 USD Second Lien Notes") and ?425 Million 10.125% second-priority senior
secured notes due 2026 (the "2026 Euro Second Lien Notes") to be redeemed on
August 11, 2023 and August 12, 2023, respectively. The Company will use cash on
hand to finance the redemptions and expects to save over $120 million in
interest expense on an annualized basis. The $1.2 billion of redemptions will be
conditioned on the closing of the Refinancing Transactions described below.

It's over 20 years old, still very beautiful we were in grills which was very good, all of gills was full as was most of the ship, we booked QE 25 Singapore to Japan with an extra $800 dollars for booking onboard

Was on the enchanted princess last year on one of their themed cruises Thoroughly enjoyed it and a premium offering similar to celebrity cruises

It's a small ship so no queues, plenty of space. Half Brits then 25% Aussies, 15% from u.s. 10% Chinese, so a good mix. Some travelled 35h to get this cruise, then at 2a.m. the first night there was a medical emergency where many had to evacuate their rooms for the helicopter.

On the island princess ATM. Sailing full of course. Formal night last night but lobster available at 19 dollars extra, so stuck with the halibut and some beautiful tenderloin. Operatic show last night, that was a surprise. So far...brilliant.

Royal Caribbean raises annual profit forecast on resilient demand, shares surge

"Demand for cruising and our brands is exceptionally strong and we have seen another step change in booking volumes and pricing," CEO Jason Liberty said.

The company posted adjusted earnings of $1.82 per share, compared with estimates of $1.55. Passenger ticket and onboard revenue rose 72% and 41% year-over-year, respectively.

Royal Caribbean expects an annual adjusted profit between $6.00 and $6.20 per share, compared with its earlier forecast of $4.40 to $4.80 per share.
