AIM listed KAH reghollis. Holds 39% of Aussie listed Extract Resources. Fellow U explorer URU has bought a big stake in KAH recently. U investment fund Geiger Counter (GCL) reckon that Extract's Namibia find is one of the best potential U finds worldwide. GCL holds KAH.

Macquarie says coking coal prices to remain at record in 2009

According to Macquarie Bank Ltd, prices of coking coal will stay at records next year because of rising demand for the alloy and as higher costs delayed the construction of new mines.

Online limits suggest this is about to move higher still.

The coal industry is planning to replace oil by turning coal into liquid fuels and into feedstocks for the chemical industry. Of course they are also planning to burn ever-more coal to produce electricity. If these plans materialise, green chemistry and renewable solar energy will both be sidelined for the rest of this century...........................

Gulf states may soon need coal imports to keep the lights on

Can't buy a small amount online T3 with TDW. Charging extra for T10. Deal close at hand? 50p or 55p or higher?

.

2.8m tonnes for 2009 in the jan investor presentation was expected...what you can do is add a few bucks to the contract pricing going forward all profit.

Thats why CBM wants it, and why we fear them getting it on the cheap. This cynical bid-but-not-just-yet-because-our-currency-isn't-quite-up-to-it-yet, shouldn't be allolwed. Any party publicly mooting a bid should have to offer within 7 days. It would be amusing if it turns out that UBS have been buying on behalf of another suitor.
