06/5/2008 11:26 | CBM share price going strong. EBG could easily add another 50% when it hits it's production targets Seymour P will have a new price target out on EBG soon imo | captain kurt
06/5/2008 11:19 | Captain if you add EGB holding about 9m pounds to NNE holding of 7m pounds we have 16m pounds in investments before we go to Virginia. At todays price the Virginia mines are the cheapest in the industry valued at 22m.Who are CBM trying to kid. This is worth 60p of anyones money minimum. | volvo
06/5/2008 10:57 | Yes, and the reason why their share price has gone up over 100% pre statement While CLN are unable to announce a trading statement due to CBM. | captain kurt
06/5/2008 10:44 | Strong trading statement just out from Energy build. | volvo
06/5/2008 10:40 | reg, re your post 2340. The CBM board is most of the CLN board!! So it would be difficult for CLN to draft an update independently of CBM! The CLN share price is being held back by a couple of CBM holders (APF, RAB) who are selling CBM. Once they are out of the way CBM will rise and hence CLN as well. | papillon
06/5/2008 10:35 | lol. Most of the board don't have to travel far | captain kurt
06/5/2008 10:25 | capt k. that means they are meeting themselves?? think with the cbm price moving above 150p we are close to the terms. | bubface
06/5/2008 09:44 | Alot of meetings this week between CLN and CBM management apparently. | captain kurt
06/5/2008 08:48 | BTW I believe we would be at least this high if we had published an Operational Update ( not one drafted by the CBM board ). | reghollis
06/5/2008 08:43 | The delay is causing uncertainty and while all other coal shares are rising this is stuck it a narrow range. The close relationship between the 2 companies also adds to the fear of PIs being shafted. CBM know CLN inside out, literally, and should show their hand now. | reghollis
06/5/2008 08:38 | Please explain your reasoning reg. I cant see how it can. We will receive CBM paper. CBM now rising because of WTN rise. Must be good for CLN share price | papillon
06/5/2008 08:24 | Thid bid is now IMO holding the price back. | reghollis
06/5/2008 08:22 | Cheap. WTN up 16.825 this morning. CBM starting to rise. | papillon
05/5/2008 21:34 | Great find Bubface thanks for some interesting reading. | volvo
05/5/2008 20:15 | NNE up another 12pc. Peter before the deal is concluded 65p to 70p is very real if CBM rises.Think about it. | volvo
05/5/2008 19:51 | WTN going well on TSE. Should be good for CBM share price and hence CLN share price | papillon
03/5/2008 20:27 | I want CBM to remain as low as possible until the bid is announced. That and it would be nice to see that ops update from CLN at the same time. I'm sure CBMs value will out over the next 2 years....I'm prepared to be patient. | gb904150
03/5/2008 20:25 | Contradicting forecasts here Volvo. 3 to 3.3 for one with CBM @ £1.80 = CLN valued at 54.5p to 60p. Not 65p - 70p pre offer as per your last comment. All this speculation is doing my head in : ) | peterblok
03/5/2008 19:08 | NNE up 10pc as well. We need to see an offer soon. FWIW I think CBM want their share price higher first.I think CBM will be near 1.80 within 2 weeks and we will get an offer of about 3.3 for one, maybe 3. They are touting around their WTN shares. A cash offer gives CBM well over 220m pounds at 2.50 per WTN share or a value of 2.15 per CBM share without any other investments added on. Realistically before this deal goes through CLN shares could we worth 65p to 70p. | volvo
02/5/2008 21:56 | Might see CBM going up again next week; WTN very strong on TSE today. Up over 12%. Bodes well for CLN. | papillon
02/5/2008 14:40 | just hurray up and get this sorted - they either want CLN or they dont. I think we need to put pressure on the sole director to put a time frame on this. Time to put up or shut up. | pictureframe
02/5/2008 11:43 | CK - my point was that one defence tactic used by others in this situation is to issue shares to a third party (in exchange for say additional assets or cash) as this would dilute the major sharholder thereby weakening their position. But this is not possible as CBM control the board. I did not even think, let alone suggest, that CLN needed cash. Ppower - dont expect a very positive or in fact any operational update statement as the CBM-controlled board would not want it as it would not be helpful to CBM's interets. It stands to reason. So agree with GB9. | tamtoni
02/5/2008 10:51 | I dont have the email address to hand at the moment but it was Alwyn something (Davey?)and he has a cambrian email address as they share alot more than 2 board members. Too incestuous to be in CLN shareholders interests IMO. | reghollis
02/5/2008 10:40 | reghollis - which contact from CLN IR did you manage to get information from? I've so far found CLNs IR to be unresponsive and ill informed. It seems you might actually be getting a decent response. For a company that suspended its own shares for 4 months to undertake a strategic review, it seems they didn't get very far in their evaluation of CLN. I don't see much hope of getting an operations update, or if we do, it would likely be pretty conservative in its outlook. | gb904150 |
