12/5/2008 16:05 | Biggish drop. Tiny volume though. | papillon
12/5/2008 13:06 | roks, There is some skulduggery going on with CLN as CBM try to get it as cheap as they possibly can. In any other takeover offer, an OFFER is made, everyone can do their sums by comparing the assets and prospects of the target, against the sum of money the bidder has offered. In this instance the offer has not been declared only the intent to make an offer has been declared. This shouldn't be allowed to happen. Make an OFFER or say nothing, else it creates a phoney market as we now have. CBM should put up or shut up. | lefrene
12/5/2008 11:55 | CBM is racing away, are we going to see another tick up or two? | roks
12/5/2008 10:53 | If it is 3:1 as many expect, then we running at a 30% discount. Anyone buying at these levels is buying into CBM at 144p. Cheap as chips imo CBM getting near 190p | captain kurt
12/5/2008 09:45 | I was told by someone from cbm that news should be out within the next 2 weeks. | 15joe
12/5/2008 09:43 | CLN owns 20% of NNE or NEMI. NEMI Northern Energy & Mining Inc. (NEMI) is a mine development company focused on the exploration, development and production of metallurgical coal assets in northeast British Columbia. NEMI's assets as of December 21, 2007, consisted of its interest in Peace River Coal LP and working capital. The Peace River Coal LP (PRC) was formed on November 29, 2006, and all of the northeastern British Columbia metallurgical coal assets of NEMI, Hillsborough and Anglo were combined under one entity. NEMI owns a 20% interest in PRC. PRC holds substantial metallurgical coal interests both in production start-up, and under exploration and development in northeast British Columbia, including the Trend mine, the Roman and Horizon properties, and a 50% interest in the Belcourt Saxon properties. | eastwind

12/5/2008 09:35 | Yes good to see nne.a hitting new highs on Friday. Just need an op update or bid details now. Hoping for some news this week. | blueblood
09/5/2008 15:10 | nne up another 12%. | 15joe

09/5/2008 11:59 | Hi glue, I have done very well out of CLN, CBM and WTN in the last six months or so. You should make money out of this. Coal is the "in" sector at the moment and CBM seems very keen on taking full control of CLN (unfortunately probably on the cheap). Only got a small amount left in BRM but will hold on. Lots in CLN, WTN and CBM plus MTA an oiler that is doing well today and could (?) come up with good news next week. | papillon
09/5/2008 11:54 | Brian very unlikely for the reasons posted above by other posters. I would accept 60p only IF WTN is still in the CBM stable. | captain kurt
09/5/2008 11:34 | c k hope so . what we want is a counter bidder. | brian1944
09/5/2008 11:31 | Shakeout. Keeping mine, worth atleast 60p lol | captain kurt
09/5/2008 11:27 | Morning Papillon. Drawn to this one by the BRM Warren Buffett guru! | gluefactory
09/5/2008 11:26 | whats happening....I was nicely in profit.... | roks
09/5/2008 11:25 | Giving up some of yesterdays gain. | papillon
09/5/2008 11:24 | With CBM holding such a large stake, plus the convertible, pretty remote I should say dia. CBM seem dead keen on CLN and if there was another bidder they would have to put make a very tempting offer for CBM to relinquish their hold on CLN IMO. After all the 100% ownership of CLN seems to be the main plank in CBM's plan going forwards. | papillon
09/5/2008 10:05 | As this this seems cheap as chips at 60p, whats the chance of a counter bid? | dia43
09/5/2008 08:09 | CK anything under £1 is a steal for CBM imho | pictureframe
09/5/2008 08:04 | NPV must be near £1 with record coal prices and coal in the ground, plus our investments at record high | captain kurt
09/5/2008 07:43 | Watch NNE up 22pc yesterday another record high. The worth to Coal International is now large and growing. | volvo
08/5/2008 23:34 | Wonder when this offer is going to be made? Its really dragging on. I presume the rumours and the jump in share price means we might not have to wait much longer. Lets hope so. | papillon
08/5/2008 20:55 | I'm amazed at the coal prices currently being negotiated. I though CBM and all its various companies were looking fairly dead in the water. That is certainly no longer the case; I may even keep my CBM shares when the offer comes in. Phenomenal turnaround in prospect. | topvest |
