It may help those of you who held shares at the end to be aware at what point HMRC will recognise a CGT loss claim.

A claim will be accepted as a loss once they have been declared of "Negligible value" by HMRC and included on their list which shows the effective date.

The list can been seen if you Google HMRC and Neglible Vale and inludes a lot of sad names from the past including Mirror Group and Northern Rock

You can only claim a loss as a benefit if you have other gains over the CGT limit to actually offset.

I've seen things you people would'nt beleive attack ships on fire on the shoulders of orion, sea beams glistening at the tanhuaser gate all those moments will be lost, like
