Well,

a) the departing cfo is, well, departing. So his emoluments will soon be history.

b} something you heard, about something being advertised? Isn't that vaguesness upon vagueness? -- and 'heard' from whom? Care to share, so it can be checked out (with CAR)?

Todays's RNS: "It is currently planned that Phil will become the Chief Financial Officer on an interim basis and will not join the Board."

Doesn't sound like a 'daily rate' engagement. Daily rate='consultants', usually.

And I doubt that any 'consultant' (by definition, not an 'employee'), would actually be the CFO, interim, or otherwise.

Only something I heard about something being advertised. Not seen any advert myself but wouldn't be surprised given how much they have been paying their departing cfo which is public info

Don't work at CAR and not connected to anyone there.

where did you get that '£1,700 a day' figure?

No such info appears to have been publicly announced.

If you work for CAR (or are connected to someone who does)and therefore may be privy to such info, should you be posting (anonymously or otherwise) on a public BB?

what 'effort' will the shareholders be making?

New interim cfo starts soon on £XXXX a day?

You would think with the departing cfo on £250,000 a year that they might be looking to pay less for the new interim cfo...

Why is the cfo always only an interim cfo?

This is owned by debt holders and pfr.
Shareholders ,current and future employees efforts will be used to fund pensions of older employees, pay debt and debt managers and subsidise ppf.
Avoid like plague.

I just looked at board pay of similar market cap businesses. Carclo pay their board members well over the odds compared with similar sized businesses.

Who cares about shareholders?

The board are lining their pockets and screwing shareholders

The pension fund is killing the company. The regulator is causing great damage across industry.
Government needs to step in otherwise many companies will be forced into administration and overturn pension lifeboat.

Carclo already produce testing pipette tips (clearly shown in their ‘what we do’ video on their website) so the new COVID 19 contracts will more likely be for the PCR lab based testing pipettes, might explain the new cleanroom expansions currently under way... Customer is probably confidential, nothing new there, but you’d think they could make a better hand at announcing that they’re at the forefront of the fight against the pandemic!

Not going to be popular but 10p has got a bit of a look about it on the chart. If they do get there I will be buying more.

volatility probably down to low volume

also rather too much chopping and changing at board level.

cooks leaving and changing around in the ktchen is bound to affect the cooking, Mr Market probably thinks.

pension deficit is a bit of an albatross hanging around CAR's neck: hopefully it will free itself and fly off one day!!

bottom line: CAR actually makes something that's useful (even vital). And that has value. imo

Would put the volatility mainly down to results not being as good as the market expected.

Certainly wasn't awful but most wanted more progress to have been made and yet again communication was poor. Mentions new contracts but very light on relevant details etc.

Add in the pension angle touched on by charo and wig above and you have more risk than a chunk of people are willing to take I guess.
