Thanks, I did miss that - good to see CAR making the most of such opportunities.

FarDistantHills, perhaps you missed my post from early October about CAR's COVID-19 testing kit production? Here's the link. I'm hopeful that we may get more good news on this front at some point soon:

Bad advice is easy to give. Feel free to let someone else have your shot but don't try and put others off. If you get offered a vaccine it will be because you have been identified as high risk, either because of your medical history, work exposure or ethnicity. Ask what makes you high risk and what that risk means. Beeezz should take his own advice, I'd suggest he starts with CH3CH2OH, his decision making might improve.

In the meantime lets hope that at least some elements of the biggest work programmes in my lifetime come to Carclo.

My advice if you are healthy and have strong immunity don't bother with the vaccine it won't help one jot - However if may ruin your life forever, take look at those now suffering from Narcolepsy..from H5N1 vaccine - Think before pumping chemicals into your body its the only one you have.

There was an interesting article in the Telegraph on Sunday about the process, logistics, etc of getting an approved vaccine deployed. This bit in particular struck me and made me wonder whether Carclo might have some role?

Just to give flavour, it said once one of the "vaccines is declared safe and ready to go, the supply chain will ratchet up a gear, and the logistical headache becomes a migraine.

Consider: every one of those doses requires a vial, a stopper, an overseal, a syringe, the plastic that protects those pieces of equipment... pallets to hold boxes of them, IT systems to track them, staff to oversee it... In June, Schott AG, the world’s largest maker of speciality glass for vaccine vials, warned about the extraordinary demand its industry was under."

What's that all about?

We're holding because we want it to go up???

What a bizarre idea...

What sort of question is that?
I would say that the large majority of holders think this will go up in the future :-)

Thanks BF. Notice also that only around 25% of the issued share capital votes were cast. Presumably this is covid related (although the tiny market cap may also suggest disinterest). So the 20% who voted "against" represent only around 5% of shareholders - probably just one miffed holder.

Bf, having just checked, the percentages you mention as being opposed are of the shares voted, not the total shares in the company. Only about 25% of the company's shares were voted for each resolution. The votes against Nick Sanders appointment were only 4.77% of the whole company, so perhaps not hugely significant.
With only 25% of votes being cast, one has to consider another issue - investor apathy, which rarely leads to optimal outcomes for PIs.

Garth - I also added at around 19.5, but it's gone under that too - and I was already loaded up here! Fingers crossed these prices look good in the months to come :)

Jackbal - I agree. I hope the next update generates interest, the tiny valuation seems at odds with the potential. Peel Hunt are also the corporate broker btw, there is an RNS in April stating they went below 10%. After that, nothing.

I know that 2027 is along way out, but I was interested to read that by that point medical segment is expected to overtake automotive segment in injection moulding (2-shot) For Carclo, the Bangalore facility plays a part in that. And re my earlier question on capital expenditure, I guess much of that is already done.

Of course, what we know about the global pandemic, test kits, inhalers - all could be expected to accelerate that and increase the rate of market growth above that suggested below.

"The global 2-shot injection molding market is projected to grow at a CAGR of nearly 7% between 2019 and 2027. Rising demand for high precision parts in automotive & medical industry coupled with growing use of recycle plastics is likely to drive 2-shot injection molding market during the forecast period."

……

"In terms of application, automotive applications was the largest segment of the 2-shot injection molding market, accounting for more than 25% share in 2018. However, the medical segment was projected to overtake the automotive segment by 2027."

Peel Hunt’s nominee account probably includes numerous Clients/holders all below 3% so no need to report.

I could be wrong but nominee a/c will include multiple holdings rather than one large stake.

Does raise the Q of why are they selling their clients out now though?

Mcap here looks excessively cheap given recent refinancing.

I’m fully loaded, maybe I’m failing to to understand certain negatives but I’m a firm believer next update sends this higher.

Surprised their isn’t more Volume/interest in carclo has on this pullback.

Good luck all, fingers crossed the update impresses

I recall similar resistance at 6p, with large purchases being met by little price response. Some holders not playing by the rules and reporting trades. Note peel hunt have gone from 10% in March to zero holding reported in the annual accounts. Where are the requisite holdings RNS statements to clarify this? Will company or regulator act? Carclo has a main exchange listing - no excuses.

Nope, still holding. And added a few more actually. Didn't time the add very well though!

I have thought for a few weeks that we might see them come to market with the inevitable dip that would bring - but I believe it would then be a precursor to stronger highs.

They may well have it sorted from borrowing - and that would be great.

A trading update would be nice at some point with some more meat on the bones of the re-tooling/medical contracts.

Possible, though from memory they have debt headroom and around 20% spare capacity in technical plastics. Have you sold in anticipation?
