Yeah not sure why the marked it down 6%, thin volume...

Maybe for change nothing has leaked about results and markets are not sure what will be revealed...not too good would be my guess

#Wigwammer, still makes me chuckle every time I see it... :o)

on CARC, the rebuild is now underway with fresh leadership, a little unsettling holding through both the share suspensions, but a risk worth taking as I believed that a deal would be done with the bank and pension trustees, this is the first half years results for the transition post Wipac, it will not be great but it will be a good amount better than the last 1, underlying profits will be stronger from medical plastics with aerospace a little weaker before exceptional costs associated with the Wipac disposal..

A 2-3 year recovery share from 2020 with a target of many multiples of where we are now, H1 results next week...

Fair points, binliner. Great name btw. Still have all my shares from 6p, and added a few just above 19p. Looks like something may be stirring at avacta today. Fingers crossed we are involved somewhere in the new POC testing plans and lab capacity increases :)

#Wigwammer, frustrating is it not, but best to keep focused on the progress of the company rather than the share price currently, the volume is so thin it must be a PITA to try and make a market on the share..

Only a week until news for H1, and some post period comment for Oct/Nov.. :o)

Now they move the ask back up to 17.5p - again, on the back of no volume. It's a shambles for a company claiming to meet main market listing standards.

I'm scratching my head to work out how the price is working:

No buys in the morning and it opens up 2p higher
No sales in the afternoon and it drops 2p lower

And as I type, the offer moves up 1p on a purchase of 5 (that's right, FIVE) shares

So having sold shares all day at circa 18.5p ask, they now drop the ask to 16.6p on the back of no reported selling. For a stock with a main market listing, the market making is atrociously opaque and false.

The recent positive is that vaccination should mean the aerospace division can start moving forward over the next 12 months. Negative could be that the pension accounting deficit may rise from £37m last reported, to perhaps the £50m region as corp bond yields have fallen. Will find out soon enough..

#Kron76, quite often news is sold into regardless of whether it is good/bad/indifferent..! but what we know at CARC is that we are not making any more losses at Wipac, Q1 was not great for anyone with lock down impact on any business, but Q2 had much stronger demand, and we are in the right sector for growth with Covid diagnostic equipment medical plastics..

I am not expecting a record H1 by any measure but we have now stemmed losses, turned the corner on growth/profits and started to rebuild the balance sheet after a very traumatic and loss making few years exposure to lighting..

Top up opp? Often marvel at the pre results share price moves of companies being one way when the results actually go the other - seems to happen both ways so many times it's hard to read into.

It did seem that both sentiment and numbers backing it up were on the up so would be very disapointing (although maybe not THAT surprising given it is carclo we're talking about..) if this doesnt continue on 27th!

Tbh it has felt like there is a biggish seller in the background since 6p. If it's the same seller - their decision hasn't proven very prescient so far.
