The money was set aside and accounted for long ago as any good company facing litigation would have done. It's accounted for and in the share price As a bonus, we actually set aside too much.

You will need to try harder tired one. What price do you want in by the way ? or who is it you are working for ?

Could anyone explain to me how the amount payable to Mr Murray grew to £650,000, why this seems so much more than any previous amount mentioned by the directors of Caplay, and why the directors of Caplay couldn't bring themselves to state a simple, totalled up figure earlier this week but disguised it as "all the money in the account plus a bit more". Why is every announcement affecting the company's cash deliberately complicated, when the directors could be really clear ?

Or are the bulls of this stock now going to tell us that a £650,000 settlement with Murray is really good news and saves Caplay a lot of money ?

I become very suspicious when alot of unknown names suddenly turn up and start deramping!

More smoke, mirrors and baloney from the company.
Tireoldbroker has it well analysed.

I would think they are just £650000 worse off.

Yesterdays news was good even if some would argue, probably fairly, that the Caplay/ PVTD share exchanges are interesting to say the least. Appears today that the guy who was stake building is selling up? With the stake in PVTD worth what it is it and a listing to come now would be a strange time to sell?!

imo they are now in a clear position to move forward.

Thanks bbd2, I like this bit 'on the prowl for acquisitions' sooner rather than later IMO, something that some of our helpful tired friends from yesterday seem to have overlooked!

Thanks bbd2.

"THE row that has dogged leisure and finance minnow Caplay, unchanged at 2p, looks to have reached some kind of resolution. Expect news that former chief executive Ken Murray and the company have patched up their £750,000 dispute. That leaves Caplay as a clean shell on the prowl for acquisitions under chief executive Patrick Claridge".

What a lucky guess the author made. I wonder how he could have predicted that !

If you have come this far then surely it's worth waiting until PVTD list. With their finance now in place it can't be long before this happens. This is when the share price will move IMO. However, if you need the money or have already identified an opportunity with similar multi bag appeal, then fair enough. Perhaps take a peak at GON if you are looking for a similar risk/reward share. dyor

Held these for a while starting to think weve backed a loser here myself, the share price just cant get going and just seems to languish new lows just hours after any news.Unless anyone is expecting a change of scene here I think I might join the others and sell at the next opportunity.
Must be better ops elsewhere.

I don't think you can both digest something, and spit it out, but that's one for the medics and nutritionists amongst us.

Tired one,

Many thanks. Advice gratefully accepted, digested but spat out.

See you again for a chat when PVTD moves to AMEX and our stake becomes fully liquid.

Must remind myself of the current Market Cap again! Now what was it ? Surely not!

If bbd2 is trying to suggest that (1) Caplay has been coming out with good news, and (2) that I have a hidden agenda and would like to spread doom and gloom, or that I am short of the stock, then he is of course wrong. For one thing, I don't go short of anything, it doesn't suit my basic temperament.

If anyone wants to spend an exceedingly dull afternoon, they can go through all the posts on this thread, and if they read and note everything I've said (as an occasional, rather than as an obsessive poster), they'll see that what I've commented about all the way along is the very careful and gradual way in which Caplay's cash has been extracted from the company, in return for funny paper and promises, while Caplay's directors have found it strangely difficult to put their names to accurate figures but have instead issued a large number of vague, waffling announcements which have generally obscured, rather than illuminated.

Nothing wrong with + and - opinions, it's just I can't stand when certain posters only appear at the whiff of good news and spread doom and gloom while pretending not to have a hidden agenda. If you are short then great; be honest about it, but don't pretend to be a guardian angel. It's not cricket.

Anyway, back to CLY and here come some T trades.

I'm not a holder of Caplay, but I'm making a comment anyway! Tiredoldbroker is correct, bulletin boards would be worthless if (constructive) critical comment were disallowed. I'm intersted in Caplay because of Terry Ramsdens interest in the company.
