07/10/2010 17:29 | Now that CLA has announced, AVAP will need to announce their final results is what I meant. While this was November last year there is no obvious reason why it needs to be delayed much past the CLA results. If there is any corporate action to be announced such as a fund raising or the acquisition of the rest of CLA or both then it would likely be done at the same time | gosgos
07/10/2010 16:54 | whats there to announce microscope? i dont understand. Just a reminder, in case anyone else is new to this thread, this has a NAV per share of 26.71p and is on a pe of 6.45, based on last weeks results. | davydoo
07/10/2010 16:45 | Why 7-14 days? Something that is so central to this company imho should have been announced immediately. | microscope
07/10/2010 16:32 | Theres a seller out there, 125,000 @ 14p over the last few days. | davydoo
05/10/2010 17:00 | I think there is a good chance of an AVAP announcement tomorrow or else in the next 7-14 days. No inside info - it would just make sense! | gosgos
05/10/2010 15:36 | Amazing. some one else bought some. I really did think we were going to end the day, a day of great results, without a single person taking any notice and making a purchase. | davydoo
05/10/2010 09:39 | the buy was mine. no one else coming to join us yet. | davydoo
05/10/2010 09:37 | Yes the story seems solid, main question remains how AVAP and CLA interact in future! | gosgos
05/10/2010 09:16 | Cash generation this year will be awesome. Income will remain roughly the same, but current liabilities are 2.5m lower. The decrease in the value of the aircraft from 106m to 101m seems less than i might have expected with a simple assumption of aircraft life. I think they get them valued, so maybe there has been some general uplift in market values aswell to compensate some of the depreciation. | davydoo
05/10/2010 08:31 | ..and it's been marked up on no volume as yet. May just be MMs seeing what appetite there is I guess | gosgos
05/10/2010 07:33 | Excellent progress. Had a skim through, it is the mezzanine finance thats paid off. | davydoo
05/10/2010 07:24 | Good results, net assets up and they say that they have paid off their higher cost mezzanine which may be the loan you were flagging on the other thread DD. I continue to think that it makes more sense for them to merge CLA and AVAP at some point provided the other CLA shareholders agree a sensible price and take it in AVAP shares (predominantly). | gosgos
05/10/2010 07:11 | Audited Results Announcement for the Year Ended 30 June 2010 Highlights: · NET Profits up 18.5% · CLA Group total assets of US$103,114,422; · Experiencing a reduction in finance costs; · Revenues increased to US$16,383,067; · Group Net post-tax profits increased to US$3,768,971; · Net assets increased to US$39,362,706; | theophilus
01/10/2010 19:19 | No trades on CLA today in response to the news of AVAP moving to main market. As we've been discussing and Harrogate mentioned on the AVAP thread, we will have to consider whether CLA is a better prospect as a subsidiary of a PLUS co. or of an LSE co. My first thought says subsidiary of an LSE co. but if that means CLA becomes a backwater and all future deals are done through AVAP with its new higher profile then maybe not. However, as long as CLA trades below its NAV im happy to hold, as that way it would make sense for AVAP to buy out CLA fully, and as an AVAP shareholder I would prefer that to a dividend. | davydoo
29/9/2010 23:27 | I think you may be right as there is no evidence that any institutions have significantly reduced their positions. Jeff Chatwin seems a canny chap to me so let's hope his game plan includes the share prices going up! That said Avation sat at a very low level for ages with no movement. One of my brokers rang me up looking for stock when it was c. 24p as he had a client interested in buying. It still took months to move. I have to say I have gone over CLA/AVAP many times to try and work out if there is something I am missing but if there is I can't see it. Here's to our eventual profits ;-) | gosgos
29/9/2010 21:08 | Just looked at the long term chart on here as I was scrolling down to read your comment Gosgos There is every possibility that no one has ever made a penny out of this share. Except Avation who made £5m when they issued the shares for 24p. Oh and maybe you with your purchase in feb/mar but im guessing that you havent sold that yet. Isnt that amazing? no dead cat bounce? no post results optimism? just ground down and down, and so now we come to its possible merger (end?) and its left with only the two of us paying any attention. and hopefully actually making some money out of it. | davydoo
29/9/2010 13:17 | Ditto on SKYW! I was just starting to get tempted again as it went down but then it reversed Roll on the results ;-) | gosgos
29/9/2010 11:29 | Hi DD I wondered if it was you as we seem to be the only ones on ADVFN interested in this stock. Hopefully we will hear something although I get the impression Jeff moves to his own timescale. Nice to see Skywest going up again too. I got the impression it was down to market sentiment on the US consolidation. Hopefully there may be some similar +ve activity in other aircraft leasing companies. Do you follow any of them? | gosgos
29/9/2010 11:15 | Bought some more today. Again showing as a sell as the price was slightly below mid. I wonder if we'll get any steer about the future of CLA in their results due soon, or whether we'll have to wait for the much later release from Avation making an announcement as parent. Looking at the interim results again today I realised just what a a great stock this is for anyone wanting to avoid UK or £ exposure. The accounts are in US$, they receive rents in US$, and clients are airlines based in Australia, Europe and US. | davydoo
15/9/2010 18:30 | Not too long until we should see the annual results for CLA, it was Sep 30 in 2008 and 15 October last year. | davydoo
15/9/2010 18:27 | I've never stumped up for Level 2 either but I normally get a volume available to sell or buy. Never mind if I free up any cash I might have a further sniff although I have a reasonably significant % of my portfolio in CLA/AVAP already. All the best and let's hope for some action! | gosgos
15/9/2010 18:03 | I knew what volume I wanted to buy and simply put through an online trade, was offered a price, and accepted it. So i'm afriad i've no idea what stock was available at the time and i dont have access to Level 2 | davydoo
15/9/2010 17:21 | Apologies for the ungrammatical question but I'm sure you get the gist ;-) | gosgos
15/9/2010 17:20 | When you last bought, do you remember what volume were you offered? | gosgos |
