Lots of people trying to deramp this share but i have to say the fundamentals remain the same and you can't argue with £3bn worth of contracts

no, but you can argue with a p/e of 30 on a company that has gone ex-growth in a market that has gone ex-growth

as always trade what you see but fwiw, CPI tends to rise coming up to trading statements/results and then falls even tho exectations usually met or exceeded. Good time to trade u and down or add to investment.

Firstly there is no announcement on the Pru it is speculation, and a positive trading statement is only a wish. £3bn of contracts amounts to their bid pipeline, not the orders they have won this year. They have just crossed off £175m plus the congestion charge, this cant be good news can it?

I am long and wouldn't want to get caught out by a sudden announcement of a big contract with the likes of the PRU or a very positive trading statement

Price will drop later today or tomorrow , more bad news! Where is the good and the update which has been promoted for months. Is this all hot air ,trying to ramp the price up?

No, its only worth £14m a year which is peanuts when you have contracts worth £3bn

Only worth £14m a year to CPI - such a small contract when you have £3bn in the pipeline,the market seems to agree as the price is up 8p.

If TRT is right about the Prudential contract we could be jumping higher still.

CAPITA AND NORTH EAST LINCOLNSHIRE COUNCIL PROPOSED PARTNERSHIP - UPDATE

In September of this year, North East Lincolnshire Council and The Capita Group
Plc ("Capita") announced that Capita was the preferred bidder for a partnership
agreement designed to improve council services, worth in the region of #175
million to Capita over 12 years.

Since then detailed contract negotiations have been ongoing but the two parties
have been unable to reach a mutually acceptable commercial agreement and, as a
result, the partnership will not be going ahead.

LONDON NEWS - "Support services group Capita was on better form Monday after UBS upgraded the shares to 'buy' from 'neutral' following the recent tumble in the firm's share price.
The Swiss broker, which kept its 800p price target on the shares, said it would be surprised if there was an absence of contract wins before the full year results announcement."

"contract wins" - PRU announcement. Makes sense for UBS to tell its clients to buy ahead of the announcement and in turn the expected price surge

I understand the PRU deal could be announced as early as this week, rather than wait until the trading statment.
Just watch the share price surge upwards once the details are in the public domain.

As thing's stand, that looks prudent Doc. But I see resistance at around 725, right now the sp's in limbo IMO.

CPI may make another stab at 725 this afternoon, so watch out.

I'm still holding my Shorts, but won't add yet, not whilst the DOW futures are UP.
