merob - the chart is interesting. It looks like 700p is the support, if it goes under this again (and it is looking that way) then it will go down further.

Useful, so there must be something going on behind the scenes

As you can see, nothing concrete has been announced yet.

I think therefore, that the current rally is nothing more than a "relief" rally. If however, the share price should drive up through 725 and beyond, then it is something rather more.

You have only got to look at the fundamentals they speak volumes. Couldn't get enough of these earlier in the week.
Yes its paid off but thats not really the point - still looking forward to the PRU announcement and trading update.

£7.50+ not far off now

I am just thinking if this PRU contract is as massive as the press seem to think then the broker upgrades are going to be substantial.
Could be back to £7.50 sooner than we might otherwise have thought !!

690 is resistance. If that pops then we're on for much more than 700p...

Good call there TRT, glad i jumped ship earlier, a £240 profit is not as good as the £600 + that i could have got, but there will be another opportunity for me. I'm shorting CTT right now, very weak even on "up" days, if you "trade" you might take a look, tight spread...all the best...Rick

bigbigdave - 23 Nov'07 - 09:44 - 685 of 693

Farewell Spacemoggy, well done, a profit is a profit. CPI looking good again.
I'm short CTT also

bbd

LOL! Bad call there Swearing, a loss is a loss, and in your case it stands at £360 on that trade. If you could control yourself to apply your now famous 2% rule to your disappearing profits, you would do better!

Buy high sell low, that's Rick Swearing's motto, but it's not mine.....! lol

The funniest thing of all, is that this shmuchkm and his mate bbd, are on this BB bragging about their Shorts on CTT! Would you follow thier advice??? Take a look at what's happening to them over there. They got it wrong AGAIN!

Indeed.....farewell Spacemoggy!!

Staying long with the PRU announcement and trading statement due soon. Back above £7.00 before you know it - I said the share price would move very quickly upwards and shorters would struggle to get out in time

Lets be honest Capita is one of the best defensive stocks one can buy in troubled times.
- Its doesn't rely on dwindling retail consumer confidence
- Its not a bank
- Its not affected by rising oil prices

It is in fact hugely cash generative
It has a staggering £3.2bn worth of contracts lined up and just about to sign a another massive one with the PRU
It increases the dividend by a large percentage every year
It pays large special dividends
Its PEG factor is only 0.91

I could go on and on .....
