View profile for Jonathan LewisJonathan LewisChief Executive Officer at Capita1dToday I've announced that I will be retiring from Capita, a business I've been proud to lead for more than five and half years. I joined Capita in late 2017 with a remit from the Board to transform the business. Since then, with the tremendous effort of our 50,000 colleagues and the support of all our stakeholders, the Capita of today is now a more focused and capable business. It is growing, profitable, has significantly reduced debt, an enhanced customer proposition and is now well positioned for the future, on firm financial foundations and with a client Net Promoter Score of +34. Core to achieving this was the engagement of our colleagues, driven in part by becoming a purpose-led business. We placed employees on the Board, pay the Real Living Wage, published and achieved diversity and inclusion targets, committed to Net Zero by 2035, and more. Last year, I informed the Board that I was interested in exploring future options, including an eventual retirement from Capita, when a potential successor had been identified. Following these discussions, the Board commenced a succession-planning process. Now I'm pleased to share that the Board has appointed Adolfo Hernandez, who is currently Vice President, Global Telecommunications for Amazon Web Services (AWS), as my successor. Adolfo is a seasoned executive with a strong track record of scaling technology-driven organisations to deliver growth. He has career-long experience on digitising and enhancing the customer experience and leading large government contracts. He was also named Tech CEO of the Year at the UK Tech Awards in 2020. I will step down as CEO and a Director on the Board towards the end of the year, shortly after Adolfo joins us, but will remain with Capita until July 2024, fully committed to ensuring an orderly transition. It has been a privilege to serve as CEO of Capita and I'm proud to hand over a business in a much stronger position than I found it. I am personally grateful for the huge support, hard work and dedication of Capita colleagues and the partnership and support of our clients and broader stakeholders. Thank you.

This is Jon Lewis’ LinkedIn post announcing his retirement from Capita. It reads very well and gives JL the opportunity to outline the business as it is today. Very interesting indeed.

Good start 🤔 the way I look at capita (is similar to RR) the gov really can't and wouldn't let it fail it's to entwined.
If you think the ICO is going to slap a big fine on Capita imho your deluded....

Looking at the chart it created a double bottom this 'low' higher than last one (7th July) which means we 'need' an up day today 🤞

More like they want to confuse the market into thinking that. Send the price down, longs bale out, shorts come on board then wham - good results. Shorts loose, longs jump back in at higher price - rinse & repeat.

Maybe they have had the heads up. That's possibly why the share is now below 27p

In terms of results, unless you have prior knowledge, it is a binary bet to go long or short before a trading update.

Reason for shorting declared when the millions of shares traded around 27 pence to be clear in market. But it long time now it is time to closing shorting very soon.
