Purely from a shareholder perspective, Lewis's tenure has been a disaster, period.

Here’s my take on it …
If Lewis hasn’t or hadn’t got it right ,, he would have left on Monday ,,, the fact he is staying on proves to me , the job in hand is on course . I’m hoping he’s going to deliver on diviz on Friday .

The only issue that now needs to be cleared is a possible fine from the scum data regulator who now no doubt have both eyes on their pensions, which will need topping up when they retire at 55 years of age

The debt level now is virtually eliminated I suspect.

Capita plc (`Capita') today announces that on 31 July 2023 it completed the sale
of its Software businesses CIBS, CHKS, Retain, WFM and Synaptic to AdvancedAdvT

Erisbeg on the terms announced on 25 May 2023 and the completion of the sale of
its Enforcement businesses to a group of investors led by Capricorn Capital
Partners and the Shackleton Group on the terms announced on 3 July 2023.

Taking into account cash-like and debt-like items, Capita received total cash
proceeds of c£67m at completion, and will receive a deferred payment of £3m on
31 January 2024.

The completion of the transactions follows receipt of the necessary consents.
The proceeds, net of transaction costs, will be used to further strengthen the
balance sheet and reduce debt.

I like this prior to boss at AWS....

Mr Hernandez previously turned around professional services business SDL plc, culminating in an £854m merger with translation services company RWS Holdings three years ago.

Prior to that he held posts at Alcatel-Lucent and IBM

Best wishes to JL in his new venture and i applaud his achievements at the helm of capita. £1.1 billion debt now down to £85 million. If the dividend is reinstated that's all well and good.but I would rather the money be used to eradicate the debt further. The company has a bright future. Bring it on!

I find myself agreeing with that sentiment ftp. Really, i did think that JL would see it through to the end. The end being resumption of dividends &/or a share buyback.
He is the 'turnaround king', but is it fully turned around yet??

Seem to recall on FY22 results day in March the share price shot off from about this level all the way to top out at +/-42p. My average is at 30p, and on reflection i should have sold either some or all.

Won't make that mistake again if the share price reacts similarly.

Good luck to all on Friday

If net debt is £85 million and money is coming in why have they placed over £100 million senior notes. I believe he lost credibility quite a while ago and the market no longer trusted the forecasts. I may be wrong but there is a reason why this share is sitting at 27p.

How long will it be before the new guy, who I know nothing about to be honest, says that the position was worse than stated and he has now got a grip on it and will turn the ship around in 2 years.

Not sure of the dates but we must be about to drop out of the FTSE 250 for all good it did getting back in.

Very negative today :-(

Bit more here from CityAM

"Despite the recent cyber challenges, Capita secured two lucrative government contracts worth a combined total of £565m in May.

The company is gearing up to announce its half-year results this Friday, with trading aligning with company expectations for the first six months of the year."

This is an interesting article on JL.

hxxps://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/other/capita-chief-executive-jon-lewis-to-retire-from-outsourcing-giant/ar-AA1eAb3d

"Though the company's turnover has continued to drop steadily, its net debts have plummeted from more than £1.1billion to around £85million at the end of last year."

"The company's net debts have plummeted by more than 90% during his tenure"

Not too excited about this new fella tho; time will tell

"Hernandez said: 'The group is in strong financial health and well positioned for accelerated revenue growth in both its public service and customer experience markets, with a healthy pipeline of future opportunities.'""

Have felt for 2 or 3 years that JL overpromised and undelivered. The debt should have been wiped out long ago and dividends back in the cards. Not convinced the new CEO will be any better, more worried that he will make further changes and we will see another period of turmoil and promises of more tomorrow that never materialises.

Think someone ? re senior notes and why, think this from LSE precises it to a tee...

Senior notes are asset backed and have a higher priority order when it comes to bond repayments.

I'm not surprised that any refinancing was priced at overnight lending rates at the BOE/Fed (over 5% now) plus a premium. CPI had gross debt of circa £100m and $128m (USD) coming due over the next few years, and they have refinanced some of the more front end of the maturity curve debt. Prudent financial management, IMO
