12/6/2023 10:01 | To be eligible for the 45Q tax credit, the project must be a “qualified facility”. A qualified facility is one that meets certain minimum emission thresholds and the construction of which has begun before a certain date. Eligible for the tax credit are CCUS facilities that have begun construction before January 1, 2033. The IRS provides two tests to assess compliance with the beginning of the construction regulation: the Physical Work Test and the Five Percent Safe Harbor. | edmundfitzgerald | |
12/6/2023 09:56 | Eazy trolls a lie about copl being paid to store CO2. Totally baffled by tax credits. It would be a minor miracle of they actually did some proper research and not myths and lies. "SteveV what the trolls will fail to mention is a specific piece of legislation in the US allows COPL to be PAID for use of CO2 as part of secondary recovery methods and to permanently store it covering all costs associated with using it and then some…as per below" 1) it's a tax credit on profits. It reduces tax payable and 2) no one is 'paying' for Co2 eor. Co2 is sold just as other gases are. | edmundfitzgerald |
