21/11/2024 14:08 | As ever, just have to pray management don't blow this money on a senseless acquisition. It's high time they showed some awareness of shareholder value. | cjohn
16/11/2024 06:56 | Typhoo Tea is on the brink. Sign of the Times. | russman
12/11/2024 08:28 | The board should pay a capital dividend or major share buyback | crumppot
12/11/2024 08:08 | Russman I've started to take interest in these again now they seem to be selling off assets, but given the disastrous Bardsley acquisition you have to worry what they plan to do with the cash they're raising. | arthur_lame_stocks
12/11/2024 06:48 | £8m cash but £1plus write off. | russman
01/11/2024 11:01 | Russman. A capital dividend should be paid, no 2 ways about it! | crumppot
01/11/2024 05:43 | disposals could generate a larger cash pile. but considering their recent track record, it would be wise to share the proceeds with all shareholders. a capital dividend may be the most tax efficient method. | russman
31/10/2024 16:15 | About £10m quid's worth looking at the Dhaka stock exchange. CAM certainly seem intent on selling stuff off. Let's hope they finish the BF&M disposal and return a nice chunk of cash. If they manage to sell Linton Park as well for any sort of price, they'll have almost the whole market cap in cash. And lots of goodies still in for nothing. More patience required, IMO. | eezymunny
31/10/2024 15:45 | Will have to wait and see how much dosh is generated from the Disposal and what they do with it crumppot, but yes preferably the money is returned to shareholders rather than more acquisitions or funding loss making ventures. | jeff h
31/10/2024 14:31 | Jeff thanks Be nice if they returned some of the money back to the shareholders as a special dividend! | crumppot
31/10/2024 14:07 | Market value at 31/12/2023 Locations ...............Holdi United Finance (Banking) Bangladesh.......... United Insurance (Non-life insurance) Bangladesh ..............37.0 .................... ....the above from the Camellia 31/12/23 Finals. | jeff h
31/10/2024 13:25 | Anyone know what the Bangladesh deal might be worth? More money for the board to waste! | crumppot
26/10/2024 06:53 | Quaero strive pointless. | russman
19/10/2024 05:13 | This could be a plan:- Split into 4 Divisions 1)Agriculture / Crops merge into Kakuzi 2)Marketing / Brands 3)Investments / Property / Insurance 4)Disposals - sell all the accumulated "assets". Art for a start. Has to change, become more focused. | russman
18/10/2024 09:43 | CJohn. I agree, I am fearful of what the management might buy next. I am sure someone in their head office reads this blog. So I would ask them to take note of the comments here!! | crumppot
18/10/2024 08:12 | Everytime CAM put out an RNS, I fear it's to announce another foolish acquisition. So be thankful for small mercies, Russman. | cjohn
18/10/2024 05:22 | a smaller adjusted loss. Just a weather balloon, no management control. | russman
10/10/2024 05:06 | CAM have to resolve Kakuzi problem sooner rather than later. | russman
10/9/2024 08:09 | The interim report was classic Camellia. Agticultural businesses losing money hand over fist. Most recent agri acquisition - Bardsley - being written off with loss of tens of millions to shareholders. What is the board's strategy? Sell off the non-agri businesses that ARE profitable and re-invest the money in low-margin volatile agri-businesses. You couldn't make it up. | cjohn
09/9/2024 09:45 | So frustrating! | crumppot
07/9/2024 04:28 | sinking last couple of days | russman
08/6/2024 04:50 | No long term strategy. Have to wait for the Chair to retire before positive change will be allowed. | russman
07/6/2024 07:30 | Camellia is a wealthy company despite its losses and could easily pay a dividend. Perhaps it is in the interest of the board to keep the share price low. | crumppot
07/6/2024 05:01 | more losses, doubt there will be a dividend this year. | russman |
