Re their desire to "improve share price performance":

I see that their quoted subsidiary Kakuzi has a full London Stock Exchange Listing. which presumably CAM pay for.

But no market maker and thus a blank share price quote.

"As announced in the AGM statement in June, the Board of Camellia is undertaking a series of measures aimed at re-balancing the Group's portfolio of investments in order to take better advantage of its strengths, and thereby to improve profitability and share price performance"

They clearly have their eye on the miserable share price performance. I´d launch a buy back at these levels while the share price in the (historic) doldrums.

I have written to the MD to ask for an increase in dividends but I seem to be a single voice. Please can other shareholders write to Malcom Perkins?

I agree with the sentiment and it's patently undervalued as it has been forever - and I hold shares, but to be realsitic, there's very little chance af any outer as it's >half owned by Camellia Holdings which is, in turn, controlled by a charitable trust. So in effect, we have shares in a social enterprise. We could, OTOH, see a much-improved yield.

Surprised how low this goes considering it is (from memory) immune to takeover attempts by way of majority holding in trust. Could the beneficiary (Perkins?) take it private though, theoretically?

Tea auction prices have been interesting. I reckon profitability might surprise to the upside big time. And still valued at only about half tangible book (tho unclear what real value a lot of the stuff has).

100% upside from here doesn´t seem too wild an expectation?

It can be seen that they are expanding their avocado production

The chart for macadamia does not show any growth due to the
loss of the Wales Estate

Does anyone have data for the state of worldwide supply and
demand?

Finally, in the Annual Report we have been
given the revenues and operating profit for
some individual crops.

From my calculations:

Revenue/mature hectare {£/ha}
................... 2020 ........ 2021
MACADAMIA ...... 4,639.5 ..... 3,716.4
AVOCADO ....... 18,563.5 .... 17,817.0
TEA ............ 5,535.2 ..... 5,437.1

- Are my numbers correct and are they meaningful?

a very rare mention for Camellia in the times today
makes the point that half of the capitalisation is covered by investments, collections and cash.

my view -not altogether impressed with the management of the company eg following a fire at their premises years ago Abbey metal processing never recovered, made consistent losses and now has been sold....
lots of moving parts with the company, so very difficult to analyse.

These are so cheap, mildly decent results will push the share price up.

Boystown,

I have sent an email inquiry to the company.
I suggest you do the same as they can be very slow in replying

Unilever to sell its Tea business ekaterra
... ekaterra is the world's leading Tea business, with a portfolio of 34 brands including Lipton, PG tips, Pukka, T2 and TAZO®...
...
The transaction perimeter excludes Unilever's Tea business in India, Nepal and Indonesia as well as Unilever's interests in the Pepsi Lipton ready-to-drink Tea joint ventures and associated distribution businesses...

Interesting deal which raises the questions
- what will CVC Capital Partners Fund do with ekaterra?
- and, why keep the India, Nepal and Indonesia parts?

"It looks to me that the company should divest many non core and investment assets and focus on its core strengths, if it has any!"

They said in the last report that that is what they're intending to do.

I've picked up 200 more shares this morning. Happy to buy more, when there's such a discount to TBV.

I agree with previous posters that they are long-term under-performers; so in theory, there is huge scope for improvement.

The Camellia PT is owned by Gordon Fox, who is de facto the main shareholder in Camellia. He has been involved in the company for many years
