Update: wrt Secure Shorters. I continue to admit known posters. Nobody has been turned away. Still no further votes cast wrt general admission. Pacman (the one who used to post lots of small charts) gimme a clue as to your email.

With respect I did not wind GF up, I just had a different opinion and posted it, politely and respectfully. I do not really want to respond to any more attacks as they serve no purpose and spoil things for others reading this thread. -------------------- Re scr, it's approching its 5 year low (74p) and from a news viewpoint there appears to be worries over competition in electronic security and scr seem to be hiving off parts of the company. From a TA view a black cross has just appeared with the 50 day average falling through a 200 day average also falling Like anything else all these things are subjective, the bad news might already be in the price

Cheers Paul, agree SCR chart does look pretty nasty but why do you think it's a short and what target would you have? 50p? In hindsight(!) it was a good short at 80p but not so sure if the risk reward is there now?

This thread does not say whether it is Bear or Bull - I thought it was about 'mm's shaking the tree'.

The point is taken but after all the personal attacks I have just sort to justify my position. As it happens I am neither a bull or bear but have learned to follow the trend. At present I think we are range bound as I posted over the weekend. If that is so thats actually quite a good market for individual share identification in terms of over/under valued especially mid cap stocks that can defy a trend with more ease. scr looks interesting from a short perspective but I am not on it at present

another analogy that springs to mind is, say this was a West Ham United thread, would you come on here as a quasi-Bolton fan and post that West Ham are a good team, they've had a great line up this season but they did get RELEGATED did'nt they, by MY team BOLTON(which I dont really support anyway!

paul, you have missed the point completely. You irritated gf, and still carried on. This used to be a thread for liquid short ideas. Long picks are for bull threads. The bulls took over this thread, and have destroyed it. I agree with many who think that gf is one of the best traders around. Personally, I did not post very much because I did not want to discuss stocks I had no position in, since I mainly trade indices now, and preferred to read gf's, and others comments. I would post if I took a position, or saw there was a chance of a moderate fall in the market as a whole. Now how does QXL rate as a liquid short? 1m market cap. go back to the drawing board. My own view is the US markets are more overvalued than the UK markets at the moment, and better shorts exist there. At most a month or 2 of topping left, and then a Sornette downwave becomes a real possibility.

PIMN imo the thing that winds me up is that ur not really a bear, yet you keep coming back to the shorters thread. Why? Im not really a bull, hence i dont go and repeatedly post on bullish threads, it just doesnt make sense does it? go post on another, amicible middle-of-the-road thread, IF YOU HAVE A SHORT IDEA OR CASE, POST IT HERE
