Nice to see CNE falling after the hit taken by ENQ. Karma.

I think they will try hsfinch anyway regardless of further success. Nice and easy to package? All imho.

It seems to me that Cairn's record in Norway is nothing short of APPALLING. Reminds me of Tullow's acquisition of Spring Energy back in the day. At least Tullow had the guts to pull the plug on a bad investment. One hears all the noise about the Norwegian government subsidising duff exploration activity. I don't buy it. It's a waste of technical and management resources which could be better deployed elsewhere. If Cairn doesn't have any success with upcoming Wells in Norway, it's time to get out.

Tugs listed to move the Transocean Spitsbergen and so Presto may be finished, only three weeks doesn't seem too promising.

Topped up yesterday as clearly oversold. Fundamentals are still excellent. DYOR.

they're a wonderful gravy train these LTIP awards (i'm assuming this is a direct cost to existing shareholders - happy to be corrected). i'm genuinely unsure why shareholders continue to approve them (other than it would undermine the salaries/packages of their peer group (those institutions that make the call) if they did not). Personally, I think that if the directors aren't happy with their, more than generous, salaries, they can walk away.

Disappointing (I have 10,000 bought at £1.68) but there is no real reason for the share price to rise unless the POO does. Perhaps when drilling results start to come through or nearer the end of year in anticipation of the tribunal result. For the next few months I see a range of £1.50 to £1.80. A good medium to long-term investment, but nothing to get excited about in the short-term.

First well due is Presto, targeting c160mmboe in Norway. Drilling commenced 1st March.

They ran a webcast at 9am, presentation should be on their website soon. Well worth a listen to, Simon covered off some key points including the fact that we are fully funded for all the upcoming activity. Solid team driving this outfit and I'm expecting some positive broker notes on the back of it. The drop in price last few days has clearly been the guys on margin taking a hit and bailing out given the arb result not imminent anymore. But a good top up chance for a value hunter like me so took some more.

Which ones that value? Sorry busy elsewhere. I'm tempted to buy a few (more) here but wondering if it'll drop to 140p (I am always a little greedy that way but always miss the 'bottom' as well lol!).

The impairment is CNE being prudent given the performance of Kraken to date. The remainder of the report read well to me and I have full confidence in this quality management team to deliver.
