The 5 Deltic JV licences are for sale but everyone who is anyone has had a look and will wait for summer to come and go +++ the political issues so it would be best if they were written off....................hold on everyone as there is the possibility that there is 2trillion of gas so it may pay CNE to talk to Deltic because if not then some of the licences will go back to the old Oil/Gas authority and that will mean writing off the licences - $12m est.

Hi Churchill. I agree the money is there at the moment. But the caveats are the ones the Company have highlighted themselves. There’s lots of uncertainty, and that includes potential on the upside. Lumpy ride ahead. Let’s hope we come out on top.

Hi grahamg8
You seem to paint a picture that is not as black as you indicate. Capricorn at the 31st March 2023 had a cash balance of $646 of which $450 was returned to shareholders. Another $8 has been spent on buying back shares. Therefore the Company should be able to spend another $17 on buybacks and return $100 to shareholders in the form of a dividend.
This would be approximately £80 million divided by 140 million shares equates to 57p a share and a balance of S71 million left over.
However I do agree with you that from here going forward there are a number of uncertain issues you have highlighted so it may be fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Well they have bought more shares today, and the share price again falls further, Perhaps they should stop buying their own shares and distribute the remaining funds to share holders via another dividend.

Agree the falling share price is a concern. The simplest explanation is that PI’s take a lot more notice of the people in charge, and at the moment we haven’t seen how well they perform.

Lots of uncertainty from the direction of the oil price, exit price achieved for asset disposals, Egypt creditors and contract renegotiations, cost savings.

If this all goes well we get our $100m, if not the Company is in serious trouble and the share price will plunge.

Depends if they pay a dividend, only time will tell, but the share price is falling day on day, even with them buying shares.

Southc I don’t follow your logic. The (semi) commitment is to $100m payout. If you have fewer shares in circulation you get more per share not less?????

The NewMed deal was better than what has happened with the share price falling day on day, and now we have almost half the shares we had before the consolidation, so if there is a dividend later in the year, we will be getting a lot less dividend because we now hold less shares. PI's have been shafted yet again!

GUY553, WHY DON'T YOU HOLD CNE IN CERTIFICATED FORM, TO RECEIVE DIVIDENDS AND DOCUMENTS IMMEDIATELY? I DON'T KNOW ABOUT BARCLAYS, BUT JIM ONLY CHARGE £10 + VAT, TO WITHDRAW A SHARE CERTIFICATE!

Sorry to be dull but I haven’t got this position mathematically 😣 after receiving the cash we get a dilution of 33/70 shares at todays price with cash received where does it leave us?

Ouch…. 7 figures of CNE shares that have fallen short of your many statements of CNE true worth by about £2 a share or thereabouts - that’s “ 7 figures” of shares multiplied by £2 so at least £2million shortfall of what you were expecting - that must hurt Silver, hope it comes good for you

SPBCSCW, I TRADE VIA JIM IN CERTIFICATED FORM AND AS ALL OF MY TRADES ARE 7 FIGURES, I CAN'T RISK JIM COLLAPSING BECAUSE I WOULD ONLY BE GUARANTEED TO RECEIVE COMPENSATION OF £85,000!

CONTROLLEDMADNESS, YOU OBVIOUSLY CAN'T READ BECAUSE I SAID ONLY DEATH AND TAXES ARE GUARANTEED, BUT EGYPT PLUS CONTINGENCY PAYMENTS SHOULD BE WORTH MORE THAN 300P PER SHARE!
