24/5/2023 17:37 | Silverstone1: You guaranteed a value of over 4 GBP per old share (your calculations) ahead of Pallisers 3.50 GBP. Please explain why you were wrong. | controlledmadness
24/5/2023 12:40 | So cne couldn't even move the dosh promptly - amateurs! Suet | suetballs
24/5/2023 11:03 | ii just updated Confirmation - Dividend update Capricorn Energy Plc paid a dividend on 23rd May 2023, and this was credited to entitled customer accounts. Due to the non-receipt of the cash, we reversed this dividend from customer accounts, pending receipt of the cash from the registrar. This has been escalated with the registrar and we will recredit the dividend to customer accounts upon receipt of the cash. We confirm that dividend reinvestment and dividend pay away will not be impacted by this reversal. When the dividend is reapplied, these processes will both be completed as standard. If your account has been placed into a debit position due to the dividend reversal, we confirm that no fees will be applied to your account. Your account will be updated upon receipt of the proceeds but in some circumstances there may be delays in the proceeds being credited to us. Please allow 10 working days for your account to be updated. | scoble2

19/5/2023 10:21 | These New York hedge funds are always right and in our case have missed the bulls eye for a good distance. That will make them work harder to build the business and get the share price back up to their break-even price. However, in the meantime they have got 115p per share cash back - so that takes a strain off their borrowings. Roll on for an acquisition with the new board member and look what she has been involved with. | anley
18/5/2023 12:22 | Churchill re Russia yes lets hope for a nuclear war then our shares will go up! ;-) you can hold a share certificate with a vapourised hand at 350p ;-) | finkie
18/5/2023 07:58 | IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A LOT WORSE IF CNE HAD MERGED WITH TLW AS ADVOCATED BY NIGELPM! | silverstone1
17/5/2023 14:41 | Hi p6r0 Yes you are absolutely right. Palliser must have been looking through rose tinted glasses. However your figure of £ 4.98 is not impossible. Saudi Arabia push the oil price up or the Russian situation takes a turn for the worse who knows. As I have said before the share price will revolve round the Brent Crude oil price. Currently Egyptian assets are being valued at next to nothing. | churchill2
17/5/2023 13:03 | Churchill I agree with your analysis of where we are and what the share price needs to achieve to get us back to where we were a few weeks ago, but Palliser claimed that by installing their own BOD they could get a much better price for shareholders of at least 350p! So the shares are going to have to increase stratospherically to achieve anywhere near what they hoped, particularly now that we are relying on only 47% of our original shareholdings to make up the shortfall! I calculate £4.98/share, for the remaining shares to achieve an overall £24,500 that someone with 7000 shares originally owned at the 350p/share that Palliser said was the minimum they could achieve!! | p6r0
17/5/2023 10:15 | It seems that so far the new board are doing what they said but not getting the sums spot on. In to the sin bin go my shares but thanks for the 115p cash per share and another one towards the end of this year and .....lets hope they can sell all the other assets and live happy ever after!!! | anley
17/5/2023 09:09 | Where are we now? Based on a person owning 7000 shares which a few weeks ago averaged in the 245p region. This represented a value of £17150. Under the revised structure the shareholder will receive 7000 x 115p value £8050 in cash and the remainder based on last night price 3300 shares 205p value £6765 in total £14815. In order to get back to £17150 the share price will need to reach 276p. Conclusion the Brent Crude price is crucial to the remaining assets held to reach the targets indicated by Palliser. The Market is not expressing any confidence. | churchill2
17/5/2023 08:17 | Folks are knocking them hedgies. But truth is the that the only asset they have is a dog. Yes...Egypt...purchased by the Edinburgh gents in their desperation to do a deal. And like pretty much everything else they did, they blundered. | hsfinch
17/5/2023 07:07 | ANLEY, THIS HAS WORKED OUT FOR ME BECAUSE I BOUGHT A 7 FIGURE SUM AT 125P IN AUGUST 2021, EGYPT PLUS CONTINGENCY PAYMENTS SHOULD BE WORTH MORE THAN 300P PER SHARE! | silverstone1
16/5/2023 18:45 | Zangdook Doesn't knocking down a dividing wall in your house gives you twice as much as you started with, as opposed to half of your original property? Your housing analogy is appropriate though, Palliser is the proverbial estate agent that values your property and promises to sell it for top dollar, only to disappoint and then charge exorbitant fees for doing so! If I am left with only 47% of my original investment, then logically the dividend payment should be worth 53%, at 115p that equates to a share price of approximately 217p. This is a price that I would not have sold into the market, but because of the share consolidation I am forced to do so! Therefore this share consolidation and special dividend, is in my book an enforced sale! | p6r0
16/5/2023 17:23 | SILVER......did all this work out for you or was it worse than you thought? From the Hedge funds it seems that they did not get the payout they wanted but I see there is more to come by the end of this year. As for Egypt we will have to see and my DELTIC 5 JV licences are up for sale but with the North Sea taxation issues they may not be sold. | anley
16/5/2023 15:38 | IT'S NOT IRRATIONAL AT ALL BECAUSE THE $1.06 BILLION CASH MOUNTAIN HAS GONE AND NOW CNE ONLY HAVE EGYPT PLUS CONTINGENCY PAYMENTS! | silverstone1
16/5/2023 15:19 | Back in - not sure what's going on today but some irrational price movement it seems. | nigelpm
16/5/2023 11:18 | a consolidation does not equate to a sale, any more than knocking down a dividing wall equates to selling half your house. | zangdook
16/5/2023 10:19 | So much for the Palliser minimum 350p/share! A forced sale of the majority of our shares at 217.6p, because that is what this dividend and share consolidation equate to. We have been well and truly stitched up. It appears we have swapped one incompetent BOD for something even worse. Who would have thought that possible? | p6r0 |
