Whenever Bogart has to speak to shareholders, the share price seems to take a dive! Perhaps it's trying to send him a message!

When the company has more cash than it knows what to do with, and if the market hasn't got it by then, they will buy back shares.
I've held since IPO and am personally very happy with delivery.

Been in here for years , is it ever going to deliver on the sp? The vision , subject and briefings seem so positive but why doesnt market think so ?

Looks like a try-on. Burford themselves are not being sued, it appears.

I should have trimmed a few, the drip was likely. My target to start adding is in the low 700's.

This seems to have a mind of its own, I trimmed a few in the 900s as suspected the rally wouldn't last and just added these back today at 775. Probably best just to ignore the share price and wait for eventual recovery when we see some big wins come through, although no idea when that will be.

It probably makes sense to have a more regular interval between Finals and Interims, March & September are then both six months apart.

In 2019 the interim results for the half ending June 30 were published on July 25, the same date as in 2018, and 27 July in 2017.
2020 was delayed because the company was in the process of applying to be listed on NYSE.

Scooper they have many irons in the fire. share price has drifted 20% but expect good news about 1st October with their interims. In the meantime the share price will drift along with "the case" overhanging and being pushed back, hopefully to agree the settlement. Strongest hold in my portfolio. If the case has been granted 3 more months then that takes us to the end of August so I expect share price to be unexciting until then. If it's a win though the re-rate would wipe out the 20% drop in about 30 seconds of MM getting hold of it. Good luck timing it right.

Mixed feelings at the moment. Although I could have made a decent profit on my trade, I am now back close to break even having got in a bit late on the last 9 months upwards momentum. But in the end glad I didn't sell and instead going to look at the pull back as an opportunity to increase my position. The only tricky bit is timing my next buy well.

Mention here, almost as an aside, of Burford in a Bloomberg Law article on possible outside financing of major US law firms.

"Meanwhile, litigation finance companies have raised billions of dollars in recent years to purchase returns from lawsuits. Some have said they are interested in investing directly in law firms.

Burford Capital, one of the largest litigation finance firms, has said it can structure equity investments in U.S. law firms under the existing professional rules. The company already owns a piece of a London-based litigation firm, PCB Litigation."

Do you think the proposed purchase of the Sterling denominated bonds are due to the fall in the USD making the more expensive in USD terms?

At least by November they shouldn't be able to claim they need more time to assess it! In the meantime they might agree an acceptable cash settlement (USD!).
