16/8/2019 17:03 | Wouldn't want to be in this at the open on Monday. | ![]() bbmsionlypostafter
16/8/2019 17:03 | Ozz read post 10888 in the plus1 header. I have not changed my view since I posted it. What ranking do you give the Hypotheses in terms of likelihood, given what you now know? | ![]() sweet karolina2
16/8/2019 16:50 | Sweet Karolina2 are you saying Burford is a fraudulent company ? | ![]() ozzmosiz
16/8/2019 16:42 | The market today obviously thinks something is wrong. Its a Billion dollar company. posts on ADVFN don't make a jot of difference. We had 32m+ GBP of trades. share price down 8% or so. People with more money than us (who don't read ADVFN) must have thought that things don't add up. | ![]() fft
16/8/2019 16:42 | MW has busted frauds on US markets too. | ![]() sweet karolina2
16/8/2019 16:38 | This company is proposing placing shares on the USA market. I imagine the regulations will provide additional scrutiny that should give more confidence to naysayers. If someone is prepared to take over the role as CFO, whatever their qualifications, the buck would stop with them as regards responsibility if there had been anything untoward. Shorters make money from misery - if there is none, it is possible to create some. Finally the directors seem prepared to add to shareholdings with their own money - albeit to hopefully support the corporate perspective and therefore their own shareholdings. | ![]() inki
16/8/2019 16:36 | Most analysts are a waste of time and money... | ![]() 3dwd
16/8/2019 16:34 | Laurence Morse may be interested in the CFO Position eh Tom? | ![]() yidarmytom
16/8/2019 16:33 | What's wrong with promoting a part time employee to full-time CFO? - he's not an accountant (again); - their accounting treatment is under a lot of scrutiny; - judging by the market reaction it was expecting an appropriately qualified outsider to take the role. Burford aren't stupid so they know all this, but have still gone chosen this as the best route. Presumably then the alternative was a lot less attractive. | ![]() trident5
16/8/2019 16:32 | No accounting qualification. No experience as a CFO. Obvious "insider". Present CFO stays to "guide" him. Part-time. Yep, nothing wrong! | ![]() galatea99
16/8/2019 16:31 | here's a prediction that even flat earther sk may agree with:- the share price will remain static for the next 2 days | ![]() yidarmytom
16/8/2019 16:26 | William, the governance as it stands now would likely not have been a concern if MW was bringing his first report out now. What's wrong with promoting a part time employee to full time CFO? No one will ever please MW. He is angry at being schooled so successfully by BUR. | ![]() winsome
16/8/2019 16:24 | Anyone notice how a few days ago SweetK was saying Napo was just one issue amongst many. Now the multitude of other allegations seem to have drifted away and she is left hanging on to this single issue. Why not just email the company instead of literally wasting your life posting guesswork all day????? | ![]() gettingrichslow
16/8/2019 16:19 | Yep - and putting themselves subject to Sarbannes Oxley Still not entirely comfortable with the governance but it's churlish to argue that nothing's changed/changing | ![]() williamcooper104
16/8/2019 16:15 | winsome, What are you struggling with: $15.8m booked against completed UNSUCCESSFUL case in 2013. The rest flows from there. There really is no bull case that changes that, unless there is another case nobody has found. | ![]() sweet karolina2
16/8/2019 16:13 | I think I'm giving up on sk seeing much of the bulls' point of view. I can only guess his ilk are trying to protect their shorts and shareprophets just keep pumping out non-news because they need to server their subscribers. The fact that BUR have just said they are inviting the US regulators in to audit them for a US listing speaks volumes about how confident they are about their accounts. This is lost on some people. TW trying to con readers into thinking AIM regulators will act any time soon and kick them of AIM just because he wrote to them is just plain piffle. | ![]() winsome
16/8/2019 16:11 | Ouzo kicks in at night | ![]() yidarmytom
16/8/2019 16:09 | If you told SK 2+2=4 he'd argue with you, posting day in day out and at night time arguing the fact. | ![]() ozzmosiz
16/8/2019 16:06 | SK, I don't have anything else to say. I'm going to leave you with it. | ![]() achenaton
16/8/2019 16:05 | agree with DAFAD, too risky to hold this over the weekend, so I'm out and will consider it again next week. | ![]() sikhthetech
16/8/2019 16:05 | The fact is that yesterdays gains have now also been wiped out, and if there is no further news I expect the weekend will see it fall further before close of business. Good trading. | ![]() clocktower
16/8/2019 16:02 | #11285 It diesn’t matter what Napo ‘thought’ That was their justification for terminating the agreement Incorrectly and not in accordance with the provisions of the contract according to the only party that matters when asked to adjudicate in this dispute - the arbiters. Hence a finding against them. You appear to keep seeing things that are not there? | ![]() monte1 |
