LSE Trading Delayed for Some Stocks on Technical Glitch

The London Stock Exchange is investigating a potential trading services issue that is delaying the opening of trading for some equities, the exchange provider said in a statement on its website.

The opening is delayed in the exchange’s Partition 1 and Partition 2 -- FTSE 100 & 250 securities -- while Partition 3 operating as normal, the exchange said.

I tend to think MW is very worried by this. Following the initial RNS by Burford all is quiet while forensic analysis of the trading goes on. Hence MW tries to deflect.

Burford will take its time.

It’s a temporary step. You can’t fill a position like that permanently in a few days, takes 6 months or more typically.

What a verbose statement. Kilman’s appointment as FD would not reassure me if I was still an investor. He’s an investment banker and too close to Burford. An experienced PLC FD who’s an out and out accountant and without ties or loyalties to Burford would be the sort of person I would have want to be seen installed.
