So the equity/debt ratio is worse. Capital raise is now inherently compromised. Even if the facts are disproven, the damage has already been done. Unless, there is a VERY quick recovery - which seems unlikely ATM.

Wnt turn too many variables which are unexplained 400m of debt as well and inflated paper profits. Looks like the low 300s today could and prob will be worse by Friday

In short, Burford’s business requires a lot of trust in management. How else do you swallow a boast of a $130m commitment with a global business “that goes well beyond anything seen in the market before”, faced no competition and yet would have been impossible for peers to manage? Recoveries and liquidity were strong here, and an earnings-based view of the shares still suggests value. Buy.
