Still makes no sense though, even all broker forecasts for the last 2 months have a buy with a low upside of £40 and one even at £49 (Jeffries today) and they must of done some homework before publishing their figures and recs.

Maybe someone else can interpret the above chart. I Stuck a fib from lowest point in 2008 before the inexorable rise into 2017. Support at 1800 for sure but nothing really obvious that I can see above that unless it stops at 2360ish

Balance sheets side by side showing debt rising from 31 billion in 2016 to 80 billion in 2017. Intangibles revalued to 117 billion on Reynolds takeover. Take out intangibles and net debt quite high.

POpper..looks attractive on p/e. Balance sheet still looks scary to me
They revalued brands after overpaying for Reynolds and have 117 billion in intangibles, they had 80 billion of debt at December 17. The 2016 balance sheet looked secure, the 2017 position not so much.

Well I did warn on this one, but whats this with TTID, no longer saying it cannot possibly/will not go lower?

I'll say it again for any newcomers, its going down to the next support levels at 2200-2250 give or take, helped by rising pound over next few months.

This is a crazy price for this stock, the more I read up on it and with every broker and his brother tipping it and at £40 plus I can't see why it is still in the doldrums.

25pc is not 50pc though, many people can handle 25pc. To drop 50 pc you need systematic risks to EPS and a failure of the board to recognise them. BATS will come back no doubt, but how long will it take to get to £50 again, 2 years, 3 years...maybe even 4 years?

When Phillip Morris had a litigation with the FDA in the early 1990s its stock has fallen 25pc, it then went on to double in the next 12 months. BAT is a CHAMP

If there is any resolution to the current Brexit impasse,
there must be 5% upside for GBP v USD and EURO, at least ?,
It might be considerably more.
