It's not about the bonking of junior colleagues per se. It will most likely be about the appointment of said paramours to senior positions in the company, and concealing the relationship.

Hope you're wrong, mebb. But i know what you're saying. I hold BP and Vodafone.

I wouldn't be surprised if the current interim CEO becomes permanent. That would be an easy option . Vodafone being the prime example for this .

Share price making up for yesterday's losses. I personally think if Dudley was still in charge, the share price would have been between £1 and £2 higher. Let's hope they get a proper oil and gas person with a little bit of greenery on the side!

"..Giacomo Romeo at Jefferies said Looney’s departure could “reignite” speculation over whether BP might be a potential takeover target for one of its rivals."

Why did he have to chase guys in the office? Surely he could have done so outside work.

That said, BP is looking good.

Even if he/she/it is the best person for the job?
Wokism will ruin UK plc.
Look at the success Musk has had in driving the US forward - He seems however to have an X rather than a tick in many of the boxes.

That's so last century, scruff1. Modern, proper thinking, folks expect families to be supportive, non-judgmental, and not to indulge in selfish petty jealousies. Anyway, the families are looked after by others. Politicians and pressure groups are there to support them by ensuring that straying (male) partners who succumb to temptation at the workplace are kicked out of their jobs.

BP isn't going to change strategy. It looks like they are going to spend 55 to 65 billion on the new transmission on renewables. No change there then.

Frankly, who cares who the CEO is bonking?

Her husband possibly?

Analysts at Barclays stood by their 1,000.0p target price for shares of BP ahead of the oil major's next capital markets day.

The analysts said BP would likely provide a 'deep dive' on restructuring efforts in the upstream operations and low-carbon bits of the portfolio over the past three years.

A second set of anonymous allegations does for Looney, nothing indicating serious misconduct but someone putting the knife in all the same, and someone on the governance committee happy to give it a twist this time. Shagging his way round the typing pool back in the day perhaps. The abrupt departure of one of the most powerful men in the world causing a stutter but Lund should be able to find a well-regarded replacement if the package is £10M pa.

Odd to hear Looney being characterised as a green reformer, he upset people most recently by backtracking on promises to shareholders about the pace of switching from fossil fuel exploitation. Giving the job to an insider oilman rather than a transition enthusiast would not surprise me.
