19/10/2016 12:17 | Morning all. | penycae
18/10/2016 14:43 | optomistic I lived in the North West for a number of years and visited a number of towns but I can't remember visiting Huddersfield. Good chap Harold. Not appreciated until years after he had retired. | bracke
18/10/2016 14:43 | sicker, static holding...progressiv | optomistic
18/10/2016 14:17 | optomistic, for a static holding I received £690 in June, £755 in September and in December I am expecting £800+ assuming dividend held at 10c. (an increase would be nice) | sicker
18/10/2016 14:07 | It made Harold famous that did Bracke. Even placed a statue of him outside Huddersfield station...guess you will never see that being from the deep south :-) Thank you sicker, it is the way I thought but wasn't sure. | optomistic
18/10/2016 14:00 | "Do I understand it correctly that with the £ being weak against the $ that the divi paid will effectively be higher re that?" ==================== I don't know much about the BP divi structure. If the divi is calculated in $ and then converted to £ that is better than calculated and paid in £.......but the £ in your pocket is unaffected, remember that? | bracke
18/10/2016 13:59 | optomistic. you should see a significant increase in you sterling dividend for the same 10c :-) | sicker
18/10/2016 12:58 | Thank you Bracke for your 'pretty picture', yes it does look like a sticking point around 490 but it is unlikely that oil will stay at the current price and with the results due on the 1st Nov I do remain optimistic especially as Bob Dudley will be looking to justify another pay increase...and what a better way to please the shareholders than to boost our divi :-) Do I understand it correctly that with the £ being weak against the $ that the divi paid will effectively be higher re that? | optomistic
18/10/2016 11:59 | Good day optomistic Pleased to read you had a pleasant time in the South West, make the most of it. Come a 'Hard Brexit' those North of the Watford Gap will require a visa to visit the South. To soften the blow I am posting a pretty picture for you. As you will see the share price has reached the Median Line and also the previous high from the major swing low where it is meeting resistance. I suspect it needs an increase in oil price to provide the impetus to move it above resistance. BP DAILY | bracke
18/10/2016 09:07 | Good morning all Great to see a little brightness in the BP share price after my return to a dull damp 'up North' How pleasant it's been to walk around in 'short sleeves' in my own country in Oct, did have two cool days though but how nice it is in Cornwall. Now all we need are some super results on the 1st and that will pay for a few more sojourns to the South :-) | optomistic
13/10/2016 11:19 | Happy break optomistic. | bracke
12/10/2016 20:10 | Good evening Bracke, no I didn't take 500. I feel that there is more to come here. Maybe when I get back from my break in Cornwall I will take another look. | optomistic
12/10/2016 17:44 | Good day optomistic I hope you didn't blink and miss 500. | bracke
08/10/2016 13:42 | GOOT RISE IN BP SHARES MAKE ME RICH | staffy dog
07/10/2016 12:17 | Back on track? just needed the auction to sort it out....time for refresment now. Good afternoon all :-)) | optomistic
07/10/2016 11:39 | Thanks Bracke, it seems to have gone off the boil now. | optomistic
07/10/2016 11:34 | Good day optomistic Yes. 488 was the high from April 2015 from where it dropped to 320 by late September 2015. A rise and hold above 488 and Nirvana beckons. | bracke
07/10/2016 10:46 | o/t check out Amerisur AMER . Company changing pipeline about to start flowing oil. Dyor | seball
07/10/2016 10:18 | Good morning all...482! It does show the old girl can motor when she wants to. Not a nice morning for walking in the hills Penycae, perhaps you will be going shopping with Mrs Penycae, she must be feeling quite cheery today with BP flying :-) Bracke, was 488 the next target to reach and overcome? | optomistic
06/10/2016 12:39 | Hmm, being the pessimist that I am, I've sold some on account of the 440p-ish gap, and being a bit overbought. Maybe I'll get them back at a lower price... maybe I won't. | chillwill
06/10/2016 11:12 | "if OPEC does cut back production" ==================== 'IF'. OPEC does not have much credibility on such matters. You are impatient optomistic it's only had a couple of attempts at 472. | bracke
06/10/2016 10:51 | Good morning Bracke It seems a bit difficult getting away from 472 may need some help from across the pond this afternoon. I think a fiver is clearly on the cards but when is the question, perhaps a little deeper into the winter and of course if OPEC does cut back production a fiver will be just a start :-) | optomistic
06/10/2016 10:28 | Good day optomistic "Perhaps a small gap to the downside which could be filled quickly." ==================== Bang On!! Keep up with the liquid refreshment. 488 appears to be a high probability with the continuing low £. NFP tomorrow may indicate the FED's likely move on interest rate which may affect. You may get your fiver yet. | bracke
05/10/2016 20:59 | Don't think to the upside Bracke, USA finished down a touch. Perhaps a small gap to the downside which could be filled quickly. Please note these thoughts are posted after some liquid refreshment...pity Penycae is not around to give us the 'thoughts' of his monkey. | optomistic |
