Visa, haha, now you invoke the other perennial fav among US bashers here, the Exxon Valdez event. Cute. But get your facts straight, bub. Read and learn:

The phrase "hoisted by one's own petard" comes to mind.

Uncle S: Sh&t does indeed happen, Exxon Valdez included; get over this too laddy. Enough! We are pleasant in our repartee here at B.P… with no need for US-less nonsense. Be gone with u and keep your creepy thoughts abroad.

375p was a chart support level I did on a BP. chart a year or so ago

Not looking very good is it ?

I could do a chart related post now that showed 300p could well be coming

If it happens, and it's a big If, a yield of say 4.5% is not too shabby,
would be price supportive rather than the reverse imv.

smurfy2001....that 7% yield is giving you an indirect message!....divi cut is coming...market just not sure the size of it...the longer the insiders prolong the more price gets kicked around...

LOL, it does look a little that way.
All should remember new growth stems from pips ;-)

Yield now almost 7% crazy.

Annual div (IAD)
26.12 GBX

Annual div yield (IAD)
6.81%

No brainer to re-invest the dividend!

Good day Penycae

When I saw your purchase yesterday I was a little surprised and thought monkey knew something I did not. I assume the purchase was made on the basis of Monkeysoft without consideration of the chart.

May the pressure on your pips ease.

370 ought to do it. If it gets down there, I'll buy another 10,000 on a CFD. As for today, if they haven't put the bottom in yet, it'll make 372. Could be a good day trade from there, but only for 5 or 6 points, so there's a lot more to be had from the indicies or FOREX.
Bought here yesterday because I've got a lot of catching up to do from the holidays, and I won't have time to do much else.
Took a big slice yesterday, so the pips are squeaking.

Trade well and prosper....

Ah, I knew some Simple Simon would sound off and Visa33 wins the gong. Tell me, son, is this the justice-for-Bhopal thread or make-money-from-BP thread? If its open season against injustice you want why don't you wrap your Union Jack around you tighter, hijack the thread some more and whinge on about some great British disasters like the Windscale fire at Sellafield, or the Buncefield fiasco, or closer to the mark, the Torry Canyon disaster (another BP f&ck up).
Sh&t happens. Get over it.

Essential, see causes in 86465 above. Any/several of these, and could even be worse. What the yanks did to weaken us was criminal and the only good thing is that if we DO get low enough, predators may circle. The question (to our learned brethren in B.P.) is: how low is low enough to be attractive. Then 'bounds of 30/60p' again with little downside risk could be seriously on the cards...

300?, seriously, really?, no way IMV.

366, may be - all IMV only.
