DeanF - that's a really interesting read.

I wonder what BP. Are doing to future proof its earnings??

Are they investing in clean energy?

And BP itself has three ...

BP. has cut capex well before many other majors, it is making a mint on refining margins at the moment, still one of the strongest oil cos. in the world, remember there are only two refineries left in the U.S.!

You can't expect it to just drop every day, there will be some up days but the general trend is going to be downwards as it heads towards the cliff.

Bracke, What more do i want? Hmmm... begun to think the only thing for a sustainable rise IS that pill - (That is a rhetorical question 2..) Maybe BP can do it on it's own...??

Visa

You are being unfair.

It rose throuhout the day in a fair representation of a parabola, broke through yesterdays close, peaked and eased back to settle in a plus situation.

What more do you want? That is a rhetorical question.

Now hear this, Now hear this! As we have attempted (unsuccessfully) a rise back to sea-level; we r instead to attempt a soft-seabed landing whilst double-bottoming and then heading back up. Carry on everyone…

Peny, i commiserate about your ego. Though I believe there are pills u can take nowadays for that instead of proportionate bank balances, and work just as well.

Visa - my problem is that my ego tends to grow in proportion to my account balance. If I have a few quid in my account, I tend to take greater risks. Before I went on holiday, I made a point of withdrawing profits daily. This meant that margin was always restricted, as was the risk.
You wouldn't believe the stops I've got on my present trades. Absolutely stupid, but they come out of years of trading forex.
I know, I know..........

Visa - yep, still holding DOW long. Futures down 142 points. DOW now in an area of support way below 200EMA. Futures bandits just squaring things off for the afternoon session. You have to accept the propostion. Bit like skiing. If you can't take going down hill fast, stay off the slopes altogether.

BP. holding up better than the DOW!
Need to look at the extremes now. EUR/GBP, $/Yen, cable - all at turning points, as are the major indicies.
Some big moves coming. When the other "extremists" start popping up on the thread, it's normally a signal of an exhaustion move.
