Morning all.
No trade yet. Held off cable until the dust settles. Dollar strength giving BP a boost, despite falling crude.
Looked at GBP/EURO short, but not quite there yet.
Waiting for a signal to go long on cable.

Trade well and prosper......

Royal Dutch Shell Tunisia £20M Investment in Independent Resources (IRG)
Today - 06:16 GMT

AIM-quoted Independent Resources (LON:IRG) is set for a busy and potentially significant few months in Tunisia. In the coming weeks, IRG is set for a series of important catalysts which will transform it. Chief executive Greg Coleman says a farm-down of project equity back to around 40% would be ideal. “For us 86% of this would become a big sum of money,” (continue reading)

Bp well and truly stuck in that steep down channel. 365ish is a possibility Imo. Good for a few points when bottom of range though.

Just had that cable trade closed on a limit order, so rent covered for the week.
Vote the post down anyway you like, but the trade was sound, and directly related to BP. Hope you had some of it.
Sometimes good to look at the wider picture....

Trade well and prosper Earthlings. For the next trade you'll have to follow the monkey on Twitter.

'You can please some of the people all of the time'..............

Your cable trade was a good one. As you post - Buy the dip but don't hold too long.

I suspect 2015 will be an 'interesting' year. We will have to be 'quick on our feet'.

Afternoon bracke!
Hadn't noticed the "thumbs down". Was just looking to give folk the heads up on a potentially profitable cable trade. I'm still in the trade, but there were 20+ points to be had for anyone who followed us in. Better than digging coal, and better than this morning's 4 point swing on BP.
Not been posting much at all lately, as I've been busy with the family jools. Got a week or two clear this month, so trying to make the rent with some safe trades.
The trades I post, are the ones I take. Sorry if I irritate anyone over-much, especially the fee payers!
Very kind of you to redress the balance. I hope 2015 will be a profitable year for you.
Is imatsu still on the boards?

Good day Penycae

I see that you have been give a 'thumbs down' on your posts. Is this monkey's doing at the behest of the hound for taking him out in the rain? I have re-dressed the balance with 'thumbs up'.

Just took a cable long from 1.5128. Sensible stop, which the 'puta won't let me move, so time to do something else until the wheel stops spinning....
Tea and stickies seems like a good idea.

Morning all.
Planets not lining up anywhere this morning, so no trade. Off to walk the new dog. He's not very happy, 'cos it's hammering down. Mrs. P's bought him one of those designer doggy coats. I'm thinking of adding some sponsorship like they do on the snooker. Trying to work out a deal with the breakfast bar. Any ideas for any slogans?
If they sell the DOW later on, it's a good short. Cable dropped unexpectedly this morning. Strategy there is to buy the dips, but take a profit rather than hold overnight. I was tempted to long the rise last night, but glad I didn't.
Shermans will call the tune this afternoon.
Trade well and prosper Earthlings........

Septimus, hope this helps. BP announced a 10 cents dividend on the 28th October which was converted to sterling on the 8th December and paid to holders @.062p on 19th December. You can work out an approximate time table from that info I hope :-)

Daft question time, is BP default dividend in USD and is there an option of receiving same in Sterling (or do people opt for a script dividend to avoid the issue)?
