BP today announced a quarterly dividend of 10 cents per ordinary share, expected to be paid in March. "Throughout the work to reset BP, the dividend remains the first priority within our financial framework," Dudley confirmed.



BP is now taking action to respond to the likelihood of oil prices remaining low into the medium term and to rebalance its sources and uses of cash accordingly.

In November, BP was awarded two new exploration blocks as a result of the 2013 Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) bid round: Block 3 - North El Mataria (BP 50%), in the onshore Nile Delta, will be operated by BP; Block 8 - Karawan Offshore (BP 50%) is located in the Mediterranean Sea and will be operated by ENI. BP and its partners have committed to invest a total of $240 million in the blocks over different phases. Also in November, BP completed the sale of its interests and transfer of operatorship in four BP-operated oilfields on the North Slope of Alaska to Hilcorp.



In December, BP announced the start of operations by Husky Energy at the Sunrise Phase 1 in-situ oil sands project in Alberta, Canada (BP 50%), with the start of steam generation. BP also announced the start of production from the Kinnoull field (BP 77.06%) in the central North Sea. The Kinnoull reservoir is tied back to BP's Andrew platform. These were the final two of seven major project start-ups in 2014. In Azerbaijan, BP and the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) signed a new production-sharing agreement (PSA) to jointly explore for and develop potential resources in the shallow water area around the Absheron Peninsula in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea.



After the end of the quarter, BP announced the formation of a new ownership and operating model with Chevron and ConocoPhillips in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. Under the agreements, BP will sell to Chevron approximately half of its current equity interests in the Gila and Tiber fields. BP, Chevron and ConocoPhillips also have agreed to joint ownership interests in exploration blocks east of Gila known as Gibson. Chevron will operate Tiber, Gila and Gibson, with operatorship transferring after BP finishes drilling appraisal wells at Gila and Tiber.

Afternoon bracke!
Got monkeysoft up and running now on Forex. All about patience. Getting later entry points, but the trades are much safer. If you set the limit sensibly like as not you'll get a decent return. The later entry means you dont get the entire move, but it's the safe part that counts. 25 points a trade is OK, or so the little furry fella keeps saying.
Just waiting for the chuckle brothers to give us the thumbs down, then we're done for the day.

That was an excellent trade.

I had been monitoring Cable with a view to a 'long' but it failed by a few points to reach my trade level. I missed out.

Out traded by a monkey!! Oh! the ignominy.

Yes but think we are due a run up..half term coming George Washington's birthday....then down ..only ideas..target then 337..and if that happens..I will start making crystal balls and selling them..must a big market in the city...:O)

Morning all.

467 for BP at the moment looks to be a tall order Max. Looks as if the Shermans want to retest recent low on the DOW. Sell off might continue this afternoon. Just closed an early short on cable. Got a small short running on the CAC, but that's about it.

Just waiting for the planets to line up, then planning to take off with dog for a bacon sarnie. Absolutely beautiful here today. Thought we'd get snowed in last night, but it came to nothing.
Loaded BP onto the 'puta this morning. Surprising - showing as a "no trade".

Just banked ten points off that cable trade, and re-entered short. All timeframes now lining up, so it's just a case of set and forget.
Just remember, I got this from a monkey - no advice intended.
Doing some after dinner stuff this evening, so calling it a day.

Morning all.
How can anyone give a thumbs down to Big Momma?
The monkey has just got me to sell cable on the eleven o'clock candle. Looks a bit risky to my human eye, as it's counter trend on some of the shorter time frames. Not a trade on which I'd bet Mrs. P's half of the farm.
I've got it from 1.5124. Not going to screen watch. All down to the system.

Could go anywhere. But everybody knows that at some point, the price of oil will rise again. A year? 2 years? Who knows. But those that bought at these prices will do pretty well.
