Pram, I'm not currently holding however definitely did not see
the collapse in crude, very few did, which is why it makes valuation
here very difficult atm.

2015 consensus EPS is just over 42 pence currently,
however that is likely to be hacked down over the next few weeks
as '15 forecasts are rapidly revised lower IMV.

Dividen cover per share is about 22p against earning per share of 80p. So BP SHOULD BE ABLE TO PAY ITS DIVIDEND...IF THAT IS THE CASE, SHARE PRICE SHOULD RECOVER VERY QUICKLY. Exon being 4 times BP, dropped by 2.8% dragging DOWS down by 1.5%. Let's hope for a better day tomorrow...I am going to wait until new year to buy BP.

Extrovert - you have to remember that $145 oil in July 2008 a complete aberration in relation to the then circumstances, trader driven and December reflected the fundamentals at the time, long liquidation then drove them down on account of every asset class being killed, different situation today but it may tank further, personally I see an agreement between producers likely imminent otherwise certain countries just going to collapse into anarchy over budget constraints, no guesses as to whom!

Yes, I think too that it's to force Putin to back down in Ukraine or Russia is going bust and he's going to be out of a job. If he does back down, the Saudi's will cut production.
Topped up 50% this time in SIPP.
