MAX, during a severe correction/new bear market it's possible.

Crude could head for $50 and the UKX stay around these levels,
unlikely though imv as the two will be interlinked to a degree.

No reason why BP. down at 357, maybe litigation threats and Russia an issue, but consolidation will light this sector along with strong cost control through project postponements and cutbacks internally through staff reductions, oil cos will merge and BP. I am sure will figure!

Cameron being an absolute lemon over this, he should take a stand and address the miscarriage of justice being placed upon BP.!

Max. if Israel attacks Iran, then the oil price will soar, not fall as you suggest, mind you the reckon Yanks seem hell-bent on screwing the rest of the world, not only BP., time for that takeover from Shell to materialise, it's unacceptable the continuing harassment of BP. by the US authorities, is there any real long term damage from the Macondo spill, so far it seems not, and certainly not on the scale of the Bhopal disaster, and the still apparent effects on the local population.

Morning all.
All about gaps. If there's going to be a Santa rally, it'll start from 420. FTSE at 6700.
8p swings on a share with 1/2pc margin gives you all you want so far as safe trading is concerned. Hardly likely to get wiped out, even if you time it incorrectly. The old girl always comes back to you.

30 billion USD profit last year would suggest £5 per share would under value BP even with the ongoing legal problems in the USA. imo
