I'm very excited to be showing the power of AI in video editing along with Twelve Labs at NAB. Please reach out to set up a meeting.

Get ready to supercharge your editing.

Blackbird plc has partnered with Twelve Labs to create a plug in integration to enable AI Auto Sequencing within the browser.

“We envision a future where editors supercharge their workflows. Instead of a blank canvas, they can start with a rough cut and refine it from there, saving countless hours of scrubbing and stitching,” said Jae Lee, co-founder and CEO of Twelve Labs.

“Blackbird has always prided itself on its speed and efficiency and the advent of AI technologies is key to improving that further. The landscape is changing fast when it comes to storytelling, and where AI can really make a difference is in making the process faster and more enjoyable." said Ian McDonough, Blackbird CEO.

What's the valuation of CapCut?

Yep 12 Labs charges for all the processing and server costs, although they do have a free trial. That's the other point I note, it appears content needs to be on 12labs servers, so probably explains why it's unlikely to be an elevate.io plugin for a while, maybe when 12Labs can process content stored on our own server space a plugin will happen.

There are billions in the Tik Tok market you talk about, but the TM of Elevate initially is the Prosumer, which are still in the Millions, so there is still plenty of market to aim at. I do think this will grow though. I do some content creation but it is more of a hobby and on the amateur side. I use the mechanisms you mention. However using Elevate even already in its basic form allows me to produce a far more engaging and higher class finish. For example when I use Drone footage if I have been climbing I can toggle quickly between upclose and distant footage in literally seconds. Something that took me a long time to do using the methods you currently talk about. Even using things like CapCut which I am happy to pay £9.99 a month for (A mobile Interface Edit Suite) ok that does have some cool add ons, which I am sure Elevate eventually will. This will hit home for a secondary market past the Prosumers with a big emphasis on Fun as well for both recreational and professional content creators.

12labs won’t be cheap it’s most likely priced for Big media companies.

They might bring some of their customers to us

So that's an announcement about AI. What else can they announce that will make elevate.io take off like a rocket on Day... partnerships with AWS, MSFT and Alphabet?

I would always store all my original content locally and probably pull from the cloud final product for local storage, if that can be done. But even maintaining and storing locally is not easy, I just look at all the data on my CDs that needs rescuing!

I thought we might see a 12labs partner

Very interesting, could also move Enterprise into new areas outside Sports

It's a shame we can't close any enterprise deals that matter.

Hopefully it will be part of Elevate (and no reason why it can't and the timing also fits in), otherwise I would discount it.

Yeh, they sound like a great company and brilliant to be forming partnerships like this. Raises Bird's profile and further embeds them in a video-tech community. I'm sure down the line there'll be something for elevate.io there.

Off subject I know but what happens with all that has been saved in the "cloud" if the providers should go broke - can data be recovered? - okay to say it cannot occur but that has been said about many things, even the big banks - to big to go broke.

That's a shame, but still great that Blackbird is picking up and using the very latest disruptive tech.

It's only the Blackbird product (i.e. Enterprise). It's not related to elevate.io at this stage, sadly.

Good to see an AI plug-in being added at this early stage.

Interestingly, Twelve Labs is funded in part by Samsung Next the venture capital and startup acceleration arm of the Samsung Group.

This is absolutely stunning news!

Wow!

"As part of a commitment to a plugin architecture, Blackbird has added a new plugin embedded into its editing platform. This enables a seamless integration of Twelve Labs and in turn access to its indexing technology and AI auto sequencing productivity tool without ever having to leave the editor. "

Thanks for that link, that is amazing news. If we get plugins like that it will be transformational for Blackbird.

Absolutely amazing. Why no RNS here.

"It might be along wait yet if you’re waiting for a buyer."

For me, over 20 years is more than enough waiting!

Everything happens in the cloud these days. It is our time now, Maybe after the summer games and yet another major showcase for our disruptive tech will prompt some action from the big boys.
