14/3/2024 22:52 | To put money into perspective Adobe has just lost around $30 Billion in market cap in after hours trading. They also lost $1 Billion paying Figma a termination fee. They have also lost the design market segment thanks to not having a collaborative web browser based design app. They have serious competition from the young upstart Canva with their collaborative web browser based graphics design platform. Last thing they need to see arriving in the market is a collaborative web based video editing platform! Everything becomes big money at this level. Adobe execs have a lot to worry about | nickb

14/3/2024 18:03 | To paraphrase Donald Rumsfeld as shareholders: a) there are things that we know about BIRD and its products; b) there are things that we know we don't know c) and then there are the things that we don't know that we don't know The Blackbird team know all of (a) and much of (b) but (c) is their problem because, for example, they don't really know how their competitors may respond or that somebody out there is about to launch some transformative technology. It's always (c) that causes big upsets but they can be positive or negative for BIRD. Perhaps IM/SR/MV do know a lot more positive things than us about how the launch may take off and that makes them confident? | chriscallen
14/3/2024 17:46 | What if he isn’t ahead of himself? | nickb |
