06/1/2014 14:48 | Clearly a buyer in the midst hence no drop in share price considering the volume vs buys and the fact the bid is at a premium to the book price.... 2 weeks Friday, we shall see....estimate for the share price prior 1.95 / 2.10 | sirmark
06/1/2014 14:47 | Clearly (despite the book price) the price to sell is 1.75... is they are offering 1.75 then 1.75 is the price...it's no harder than that .... | sirmark
06/1/2014 14:16 | You know as well as I do that your quote from HL just confirms that you can sell some stock for £1.75 - it is not the formal bid price The bid price is £1.70 and no amount of sleight of hand will change that - the MM's will change that by moving up to £1.75 if and when they want to [at which point some unscrupulous sorts will be claiming the the bid price is £1.80 or something]. SELLING 7,000 of BIOE TECH Action Sell Quantity 7,000 Shares Symbol BIOM Settlement Period T+3 Company Name BIOE TECH Indicative Price Bid £1.70 Offer £1.85 Market Currency GBP Sterling Settlement Currency GBP Sterling Indicative FX Rate 1 Says £1.70 there quite clearly BIOM Bid: 170p Offer: 185p Change: -2.5 | begorrah88
06/1/2014 14:06 | Grax, just check and H-l also offering £1.75 to sell.... come on grax ... have some 2014 cheer !! SELL: 1000 units in Biome Technologies plc at 175 pence Value (excluding stamp duty, commission and PTM levy) £1750.00 PTM Levy £0.00 Commission £11.95 Stamp duty £0.00 Settlement date 09/01/2014 Total value (including stamp duty, commission and PTM levy) £1738.05 | sirmark
06/1/2014 13:52 | Clutching at straws would be my analysis TDW is quite clear in what the book price is - £1.70 bid - same iwth HL etc That is the measure by which the stock market works - the book price Are we really that desperate that we are going to be using a different figure that isn't a formal price just to make it look as though there is demand? Did the MM's buy them? - no method of knowing as that is the purpose of the 'ordinary' trade - that it isn't the MM's taking the stock. | begorrah88
06/1/2014 13:31 | splitting hairs grax....the mm's bought them on the rsp at £1.75p and are offering that price to sellers....just because the price on the book is £1.70 doesn't mean that's the price. Don't forget how this stock is now traded...no longer sets/setsmm | sirmark
06/1/2014 13:25 | No they haven't! The official bid is £1.70 not £1.75p The fact that the sells today have been at £1.75 is because they weren't AT trades but O trades so didn't hit the book. | begorrah88
06/1/2014 13:15 | Despite what begorrah88 states about buys and sells, the MMs' have nevertheless raised their bid for stock up to £1.75. That has to constitute a good support for the continuance of sirmark's uptrend. | mudbath
06/1/2014 13:07 | No, he won't be exposed or removed - he has the main holders in his pocket and that was done deliberatley. They/you are shagged - if he can't pull a rabbit out of the hat then their/your investment will fall further so they are painted into a corner to support him. He'll do what he does every year and infer that things are going well [two swallows anyone?] and then the figures won't back that up. We see it every single year and that may be why todays trades are sells of £9500 and buys of £3700. I'd love to be proved wrong in the same way as I have hoped that for the past 5 years [ for the first year of Mines I too believed the hype but then became suspicious when the figures didn't marry up with the tosh he was spouting]. Good luck all because luck is the only thing we have going for us here. | begorrah88
06/1/2014 12:47 | I agree the share price performance has been disgusting to say the least, but having not sold I hang on the hope and belief that with the excuses gone, he can't hide behind anything and will either perform or be exposed and removed. I feel he will perform and believe that in the report at the end of January we will see this improvement in the numbers and the outlook. | sirmark
06/1/2014 12:46 | You say 'heard it here first' well you are right about that. You've been saying it for the last 6 years! It won't have escaped your notice that there have been more shares sold today than bought but hey, what does that matter? I do admire your blind faith in a man that has shafted you year after year Keep smiling fella. | begorrah88
06/1/2014 12:30 | Get ready boys and girls .....it's coming ....you heard it here first ....(about 6 years late, but it's coming) | sirmark
06/1/2014 12:26 | I once calculated that BIOM needed to get to circa £24 just to get back to where it was the day Mr Mines arrived 17 April 2007. According to Yahoo UK the price taking into account the stock consolidation on 17 April 2007 would have been £30.61. Either way it's been an extremely shocking performance and claps on the back in the boardroom for performance at BIOM will be premature until it gets above the price on 17 April 2007. Lets hear it for the sterling work that has been done at BIOM. "Hip, hip!!!" Come on!!! | lwaxf13
06/1/2014 12:21 | Misery for shareholders but over £1million pounds in wages for himself [+ bonuses and perks] How's that for value for money! | begorrah88
06/1/2014 11:57 | 6 years?!! So Mr Mines has had 6 years and achieved what exactly for shareholders? | lwaxf13
06/1/2014 08:59 | Been waiting 6 years + so far SM! | begorrah88
05/1/2014 20:13 | Wait and see :) | sirmark
05/1/2014 11:26 | begorrah88 - No thanks. temmujin - No thanks. Good luck to you both though with your projections for BIOM. | mudbath
05/1/2014 07:19 | this company will be bust in 12 months...trust me | temmujin
04/1/2014 15:43 | T/A as well we are looking for retest of the £2.10 also Should be moving well above that in the coming weeks | sirmark
04/1/2014 15:41 | Agreed in fairness £35 would be nicer ...IF they can bag some good business and grow this strength to strength then this share price will move up extremely fast with most shareholders having very much higher than this. Only a few holders of which are increasing (the main ones anyway) Good luck all but a very strong buy for me ;) | sirmark
04/1/2014 13:31 | £10 by Christmas is still a very dismal share price performance since Mr Mines took charge. Hat off to recent punters who would make money on £10 but for long termers it's been an unmitigated disaster for the share price (and people get paid handsomely for this!!!). | lwaxf13
04/1/2014 09:44 | Hello Parsons and sirmark. Happy New Year to the both of you. I too hope for a booming BIOM 2014 performance. With a trading update due within a couple or three weeks,I was looking at the 2013 pre-close statement and in retrospect, despite what detractors might claim,it was factual and "on the money",including as it did the paragraphs, "Biome began this work in 2008 and is now involved with a number of interesting customer opportunities with significant market potential. These include the pre-launch evaluation work with a leading manufacturer of high performance single-use foodservice products and the launch of multi-layer sealing film for single-use coffee capsules. The former project is progressing well and the latter was market tested in the fourth quarter of 2012 with a full launch now underway in January 2013 with some 40 tonnes delivered already. While the expected growth trajectories of both of these applications are potentially strong, their actual performance will be clearer by the second half of 2013. Biome is also investigating opportunities for the manufacture of bio-based materials through the use of synthetic biology. This is an emerging technology and Biome has a small number of early stage collaborations with both academic and industrial partners. The UK Government has identified the commercialisation of synthetic biology as an area of high priority where the UK can build a world leading position. The Board is exploring opportunities to accelerate the position of the business in this area in 2013 using mainly its intellectual, rather than its cash assets. To further this objective the business has an application for funding under consideration by the Technology Strategy Board (a Government body charged with making the UK a global leader in innovation) to support its research in this field." Hopefully the 2014 update will be similarly indicative of future developments and flag up significant potential for increasing revenue streams. | mudbath |
