vaneric1: I took what remained of my money out and put it into Tesco when they had their financial scandal and their share price collapsed, it was my best investment decision, I've more than trebled my money since then by popping in and out as the share gradually came good. Looking forward now to the special dividend reported if the sale of their Thailand and Malaysia group is sold off. Biome remains a bad taste in my mouth.
jmf69: Just to get this right... the directors have a LTIP and share options. These options are vested as the share price hits certain targets and from recollection the price is 215p.So the directors must be pretty confident to issue more shares at 300p and raise funds leading to the resulting dilution otherwise they risk not hitting the share price targets and missing out on the share options. Thoughts anyone?I see the raising as a positive to fund the growth not only in the current commercialized products but also commercialising some of those 15 products in development and the new generation bioplastics.
techtrader5: I disagree. Whilst I am a technical analyst the share price has been rising on the “exceptional results” of the Rf and potential for bioplastics. Now that the Rf has proven that it was an exceptional in that it was a one off I.e. will not continue and the bioplastic products seem even further off the shares will continue to slide over the short term. A shorter might want to open a position or wait for 4.20 to go
a_game: Given the market cap right now, it certainly is bundled in for 'free'. A £4 share price would give a market cap sub £10M, which, after taking off cash balance would give a market cap of less than £7M... This is a company generating revenue of £8.8M and profitable. I'd be buying as many as I can if it goes down to that level!
robward: post 1055- Hi Mike yes i did forget about my earlier posts, i also only checked my Share Account today as opposed to my ISA and SIPP. As I'm generally a long term investor, I can never remember when or at what price or what account i bought into !! For the avoidance of doubt, i don't care about short term fluctuations in the share price but i do like to keep an open mind with my investments.
robward: For anybody serious about an investment in Biome, I would consider the following observations. Bioplastics has massive potential but it's very difficult to put a price on potential especially when the potential timelines keep slipping eg 03/09/2018....."It is anticipated that sales of the reformulated rigid ring material for coffee pods will commence in Q4 2018 and testing continues in this regard." 01/11/2018...."A contract for the supply of material for the rigid ring material in this coffee market sector has been signed recently and commercial revenues are expected to commence in Q1 2019 following the completion of final validations." 24/01/2019...."These include the rigid ring project for the coffee market that continues through its testing phase and is now expected to contribute to sales in Q2 2019 (rather than Q1 2019 as previously indicated)" As I suggested yesterday morning, I thought the price would fall and it did. I fully expect it to fall further over the next few months. On a 1-2 year view assuming the Bioplastics start to deliver then the share price could be significantly higher than today. So in a nutshell, a very speculative investment with potential massive returns but no great rush to buy at the moment. For the avoidance of doubt, I started to accumulate BIOME in April 2017 and am happy to hold for the longer term.
michaelmouse: For anybody serious about a medium/long term investment in Biome, it's worth spending 30 minutes watching this recent investor presentation:- hTTps:// The RF division essentially helps fund the growth of Bioplastics. Bioplastics is the potential massive growth opportunity. It's quite ironic how the share price has fallen back despite clear progress with Bioplastics, and the well flagged cyclical nature of RF. If Biome was valued at £100m+ then you'd probably want to see further evidence before investing, but it's valued at around £11m with £2.6m cash and no debt. Crazy really, but then Biome is hugely illiquid and you have to expect big moves on small volumes both ways. As always with illiquid micro-caps it's easiest and best to buy when traders are offloading simply because there is no volume to be had when the share price starts to rise again. ATB
michaelmouse: Another £0.6m in grant funding awarded. Cash is now £3.1m, and Biom are already profitable and cash generative. Strong balance sheet. Lowly market cap. for such potential going forward.
loobrush: Well Biome has dropped a fair bit on very small volume of trades mostly small sells as investors panic a bit and with a small free float this can have a significant effect on the share price. I think investors will regret selling at this time. Although the market is very volitile companies like BIOME are special situations and can make signicant gains if good news is announced that affects their future profitability Recent news shows how well they are doing and when contract news of one of the major projects comes out the shares will be in for a big rerate. The is also the strong possibility of new news on contracts for their biodiposible products that they specialise in that could come out at any time.
begorrah88: morgann No, £372 is grossly undercooking it Todays £5 is the equivalent, after the share consolidation/capital re-organisation of 2013, of .004p [they were 0.00065p] When Mines arrived the share price was .75p having fallen from a silly high of around 14p at the top under the previous management. Under Mines the share price fell from .75p to 0.00065p so to get back they would need to go up 1153 times which would actually be £945' target='window'> hxxps:// hxxps:// Anyway, well done to holders who are getting some excitement now
