jmf69: The value pool for these options will commence only when the Company's average closing share price, taken over a 56 day period commencing 63 days before the relevant vesting date, exceeds 390 pence per ordinary share. This has to be positive for current holders?
begorrah88: The line 'to closer align .......with other shareholders' is a bit of a misnomer. What should have been said is 'to closer align with other board members who have an interest in a rising share price without any risk to their own pockets'To 'closer align with other shareholders' he could just buy them on the open market at full value and wear the risk like everyone else. You are right about the exercise price JMF but I've never seen anyone added to a pre-existing LTP from 4 years prior before in any company.
michaelmouse: Best to ignore the actions of short term traders. It's irrelevant if you take a medium to long term view. Biome's bioplastics division is growing rapidly and if it fulfils its potential then the share price will be many multiples of the current price in a year or two. There were also hints in the latest trading statement that the RF division is beginning to see a tick up in interest which will significantly benefit the company medium to long term. Very excited by the prospects I see here!
dan_the_epic: it was worse, the share price was 240p the day before. Humungous discount that was totally outrageous and excessive. A primary bid I think wouldve raised that much at a much better price and you might not have had your investor flip so easily Miles comes across as a very high net worth individual Good to see the rich getting richer at the expense of the poorer again. Thanks BIOME board.
jmf69: From the allenby capital research note issued today...ValuationWith limited, if any, quoted companies operating in the same space as Biome and the current forecasted losses it is difficult to present a valuation based on traditional metricssuch as PER and EV/EBITDA. However, our belief that the shares are undervalued is supported on an analysis of the EV/Sales of smaller companies within the Chemicals sector that on average show a ratio of 4.2x for Year 1 forecasts and 4.1x for Year 2. On this basis and applying a sizeable discount of around 25% we arrive at a share price of around 750p which we believe is a reasonable short to medium term target (the shares reached a peak of 645p in January 2019) that would value the business on an EV/Sales of 3.2x 2021 forecasts and 2.3x for 2022
marmar80: For new comers. Biome Technologies has two main divisions: Biome Bioplastics and Stanelco RF Technologies.First established around 20 years ago is mainly focused now on tree shelters, but is also producing on a low scale plant based bioplastics for some clients.I hope they will listen and start developing hemp based bioplastics. Best for the share price would be to produce tree shelters from cannabis. Second one was established around 80 years ago. Stanelco RF Technologies designs, builds and services advanced radio frequency (RF) systems. Dielectric and induction heating products are at the core of a product offering that ranges from portable sealing devices to huge furnaces for the fibre optics market. Here are the hopes around high speed internet and some contract to be signed with a big telecom. If no chance for that, would say, better sell this division and focus on bioplastics only.
hatfullofsky: A couple of question to long term holders, how does BIOM compare to SYM? Tech is different and maybe BIOM's will be more accepted. What volume of biomass is needed to produced x volume of bioplastics ? I have concerns BIOM are using food stocks to produce bioplastics.
pass the dutchy: ANA will be the UK’s leading cannabis producer (200 TONS per year that’s worth £400m) Share price 1.45p Only £8m mkt cap Fastest growing sector worldwide Will have first mover advantage in UK Same growers as GW Pharma (just got sold for £5b) 4 biggest shareholders hold over 50% BOD own 30% Massively undervalued Near term multi bagger on license approval Partners with leading prof , scientists etc Primed for a RTO/ main listing (price driver) Under the radar (most chased MXC,CBX) Looking to bring a product to market Off take agreement in place already Will be producing 200 TONS per year (200,000 kilos) Has the most land out of every UK cannabis co (40 hectares) Fully funded for phase 1 UK medical cannabis growing 20% month Only 584m shares in issue Hardly any available in open market Will apply for a commercial license too hTTps:// hTTps:// Targets and price movers :- 5p+ on license (imminent) 10p+ RTO/Main Listing 20p+ commercial license £1+ when producing 200 TONS per year Well worth taking a position whilst it’s still on the ground floor imo.
michaelmouse: Yes they biodegrade in place if not collected. It really is worth researching this company in detail. Given the current focus on all things environmental, Biome are in a sweet spot for their Biodegradable solutions:- "These shelters will be designed to provide protection to growing trees, not hinder growth as trees reach maturity and biodegrade if not collected." Yesterday's announcement was more significant than meets the eye, and it's worth a look at this video which includes info about the next stage field trials (20,000 shelters) and the desire from their client, Suregreen, to leave a lasting environmental legacy. hTTps:// Tree shelters alone would be a huge market for Biome, but it shouldn't distract from the accelerating penetration of their products into the USA.
claton1: it.Some of us will never see break even, for me it is £31.09p.But I do feel as though BIOM share price is on a gradual rise and if (big if) they can take advantage of the current narrative around plastic and the environment you never know it could end up significantly higher given the relatively low mkt cap and tiny amount of shares in issue.
