22/11/2012 10:17 | Tweeek I would be very careful in shorting at this stage. Bid or no bid, there is good value in this share. Market has misinterpreted the production issue. Production has not been "Lost" , all that has happened is that the production has shifted and has been delayed. I know this delay has impacted the cash flow situation and would have implications going forward into next year. For this reason market has dropped the share price of this company and given an "Opportunity" for someone like shell and petrobras and others to run a slide rule and see what value is in BG. Again this is my observation, interpretation and opinion so make your own judgement. | hjs
22/11/2012 10:13 | Possibly not. On the other hand, why employ a broker and a banker to ward off a threat, if not threat exists. Just my observation and IMHO. | iwillbe
22/11/2012 09:19 | It'll all fall flat on its face, there aren't going to be any bids, there is no growth, there will be further profit warnings and funding issues. Its a nice shorting opportunity. | tweeeek

20/11/2012 15:26 | BG Group plc (BG) shares are said to be oversold by analysts at Trading Central who note the RSI on BG's share price charts is oversold. That said, it is too early to call an upmove for the stock at this time, and the "downside prevails as long as 1089 is resistance." "The RSI is trading below 30. This could mean that either the stock is in a lasting downtrend or just oversold and that therefore a rebound could shape (look for bullish divergence in this case). The MACD is negative and below its signal line. The configuration is negative," says a note from the technical specialists. | philanderer

15/11/2012 08:07 | This was a growth stock. Growth has now be delayed for two years. If you have a longish time horizon it will likely be a good investment, if you can spot better short-term opportunities, come back in a years time. | miata
15/11/2012 01:56 | and thank you very much for that opinion, it's appreciated.. Nice to see, usually these boards are full of Ramp or Deramp mania ! Im no expert and am wondering if infact the fall is overdone and possible buy in or the market is waking up to something, i have no idea which to be honest. Will sit and watch with interest. Good luck. | comcols
15/11/2012 01:10 | These are a risk asset for the beneficial owner ! There is fear if there is little yield and a falling trend. Quite a lot of churn. Many have bought in with the share price fairly high when the stock is rising no problem but they all dump at the slightest hint of downside. If you could get it at 200p it would yield more than 5% and would be much coveted and not sold lightly. True yield is increased regularly and of course its not everything -it can be to the detriment of growth taken too far. But the more investors that can get in -much lower the more stable it is potentially but doubt it will happen. This is because interest rates currently low on cash so downside from here is going to be harder goingI think-but with this low yield for prospective purchasers the more downside a bonus -but not good for recent buyers -not being vindictive ! As said nothing wrong with the business but an awkward investment . Rather a pity the old British Gas was broken up -this was a good component of the bigger entity -a great pity I think ! Well concols just an opinion -I like writing. | 4spiel
15/11/2012 00:18 | holding just a few here but interested to know why the brokers seem to maintain these at figures as high as 1700tp ? Obviously something very wrong to have hit this level with no brakes on it seems.. Not a deramp just wishing to hear any sensible opinions either side of the coin.. TIA. | comcols
