Thanks arja..... more luck than judgement.

It`s really just a hedge on my Randgold holding. In fact I`ve used the profits on those shorts to buy more RRS shares this afternoon.

tweeeek- not upset but your words "oh dear " when you said you shorted it gave the game away !
Philanderer- an example of how trickyb it is read at present is the way POG goes up today as gold price falls . so well done for getting it right with your gold shorts .

yes, i have noticed that it is far from easy recently with movements often not big enough to make money- I use CFDs for Uk market but have account in OZ for equities and do ok there .

arja seems to be getting upset for no reason whatsoever, its fun discussing things here and putting ones views forward. I don't take any pleasure in others losing money.

I`ve had two good gold shorts this week and a rise in Dairy Crest (DCG) and that`s about it, the rest of my portfolio is just drifting :-)

but broken 1085 resistance and surelt risky to short this stock - better ones around to short I think !

not sure why you say that Tweeeek . Ok, a chart is not infallible but it does not indicate the share price will fall much assuming Dow does not tank of course .

whoops - back to 1072 after I re-entered at 1075 but most stocks struggling today and dow futures now looking bearish !

well, could indeed go back to £10 again but I think it is more likely to move higher in next week or so . But the DOW rules and will drag most stocks down if it tanks .
